Please note that it’s best to read volume one and two before this one.

Wow, Bink has done it again! She has written another fantastic book that kept my attention from page one. In this novel, we see Bink go through every emotion whilst trying to stay in control of those feelings she has for Big. The novel starts with Bink and Big arguing because she wants a weekend away with her club sisters while the men go on club business for two weeks. But with the threat of Bink’s mom hanging over their heads and with the stress of the pregnancy ending early, Big being Big tells her a straight no.

Quote ~ Big: ” You aren’t —-ing going nowhere sugar tits.”

Eventually they come to a compromise. While the girls get ready for their spa weekend and the boys get ready for their two weeks away, Bink and Big discuss what they expect from each other. The night before the men leave, Bink wakes up alone in bed so she goes looking for him. She stumbles on the guys having one huge club party that left me wanting to punch someone! To say my heart wasn’t trying to pound out my chest at this point would be lying. I couldn’t believe what I was reading. This can’t be happening. This has to be a dream I scream in my head as Bink is staring at what her eyes are seeing.

With emotions running high and Bink left feeling raw, we discover there is some else who is in love with her. Poor woman is going through everything life throws at her as her mother enters into the picture, too. She tells Bink some very home truths about the club and her daddy, and everything she knew was a lie.

Big! Our tall, dirty mouth biker is uncontrollable with his anger as Bink is missing and not knowing whether he lost everything he loves… and all because of his actions. He decides it’s time to force the issue and make Bink release the control she has on her feelings by putting her in a situation she shouldn’t be in. Will Bink crumble and let lose all that anger and tears, or will she be able to stay in control of those emotions? Will Bink and Big pull through and get their happy ending? Read it and find out!

Bink, I have to say well done to you. I can’t wait for Big’s book; the secondary characters in this book are fabulous, even the new ones. And I hope Bink writes more about them too. I have rated this five marvellous stars but if I could have rated it more, I would have.

I used to have them—before the nightmares started.
I dreamed of nice guys, love…normalcy.
Things like reading the Sunday paper in bed with my lover.

But who needs dreams when your reality is filled with a string of faceless dominating men in uniform? Men that pack a thick bulge and are only too happy to satisfy my deviant sexual cravings.

Me. That’s who.

Henry’s End Book Trailer:

Henry was deeply ensconced in his own head, making resolutions about moving on, not paying attention to his surroundings, or seeing the man, as he approached his car. He was leaning against the hood, his thick muscled arms folded across his chest. Calm, cool, collected, in charge and so damn freaking handsome.

“Your place?” was all he said.

Henry felt the sharp stab in his heart as his adrenal glands shot a release of hormones into his blood stream. Shaking his head no, he was shocked at how cool and calm his voice sounded, when he was anything but, “No. I don’t think so. You haven’t even bought me a drink yet.”

Walking around the big Marine to the driver’s side, Henry hit the remote, unlocking the door.

With a palm to the solar plexus to stop him, “Where are you going?” the Marine asked.

“Home,” Henry was very matter-of-fact.

“I thought you wanted me to buy you a drink?”

Stepping around the Marine, Henry opened the door to his black BMW and got in. “I do…” and he closed the door and started the engine.

Rolling down the window, he added with a smile, “… on Sunday.” Gunning the Beamer’s engine, he left the Marine in the dusty parking lot with a smile on his handsome face.

Well played, Henry congratulated himself. Let him ache for me as much as I’ve been aching for him.

This is the story of Henry Clark whom is best friends with Schooner Moore and Mia from the Searching For Moore series. His story begins with him flying back from Schooner and Mia’s wedding in New York where he met Mia’s friend and employee, Seth Shapiro. Meeting Seth has a real impact on Henry and he realises he wants his forever. Henry settles in his seat on board the plane and flashes back to when he first moved to live and work in San Diego.

Quote – Seth: “I want to sit in a cafe on Sunday mornings in the West Village, reading the New York Times for hours, with my lover sitting across from me, spend hours planning vacations to places like Bali or the Seychelles. Have Schooner and Mia over for a gourmet dinner we’ve cooked for them.” “That’s what I want.”

San Diego in the 90’s gay nightlife scene was thriving. Henry settles in well in his new life making new friends. He frequents a local bar for the first time to widen his social circle and maybe meet a guy. He has an aversion to guys in uniform, especially military which is coincidental as there is a base not too far from where he lives. His eyes meet with a mysterious guy; staring at each other, there is an instant attraction. Henry later finds out his name is Cody and he is military.

Quote – Cody: “I missed you,” “And I don’t know why, I hardly know you.”
Henry: “I missed you, too.”

These two have a very steamy, passionate affair but I had a feeling all was not as it seemed. I knew the author wouldn’t let it be plain sailing for Henry because of an earlier event in the story, but I never imagined what would happen. My heart broke for him and I sat bolt upright when it all unfolded. I wondered how the book could continue and how Henry would be able to continue on with his life but he does. Schooner supports Henry in a very difficult time in his life and he does his best to rebuild himself.

Henry meets some cops who frequent Schooner’s gym. One in particular has Henry wondering but a little apprehensive until they discover they both like cycling. Quinn and Henry have a pure attraction that is palpable as I read on. It kind of had a different feel to it than when Cody was around.

Quote- Henry: “I’m scared. For so many reasons. But most of it’s my own shit and you need to know that.”

I loved the relationship between Henry and Quinn. Especially the intense love and them making plans for the future and what their aspirations together as a couple were. Just when I thought Henry’s life was running smoothly, Julie yet again threw a curveball into the story. My heart broke once more and while reading, I sobbed out loud for him. How on earth does this man go on?

I thought the Searching For Moore series was fabulous but dear me, Henry’s End has blown that idea apart. Julie really outdid herself here. I’m sure you can guess this is an M/M story and whilst I have read the odd story with this kind of content, nothing had me sitting on the edge of my seat as much as this story did. It was well written and I felt every emotion you can think of. Henry was such a very endearing character. It was a real pleasure reading his story. I don’t just think, I know this is going to be a real hit with readers old and new.

I have no choice but to give Henry’s End five brightly shining stars. I loved how you have the prologue, then a flashback to the majority of the book, and then the last part back to the present day. It deals with issues such as PTSD, love, heartbreak and ultimately, what most people are looking for forever. It is a story that will stay in my mind for a long time if not for always, and I certainly would entertain the idea of re-reading.

** Five Horrendously Badly Broken Stars! **

Before this review was written, the definition of the word ‘perfect’ had to be defined as this read was utterly perfect. Perfect ‘being entirely without fault or defect’. When you read a book, especially its sequel, there is usually something that you would change or tweak, but for KFF, this wasn’t the case. We didn’t just read it, we inhaled it, consumed it and this outstanding read in turn, consumed us! And although we’re the first to willingly admit to having put it down on a number of occasions, absorbing the feelings of these two fragile characters literally took our breath away.

At the end of Bad Romeo, our hearts were left in smithereens. So much so that this made us wonder whether or not the author was capable of mending the tiny shards piercing our very core. Why, you may ask? Well, this is simply because Ethan walked away from Cassie. He really believed he is doing the best for her. In short, he sacrifices his love for her for well-being, and if you didn’t die on the spot, both of us would be surprised. He can’t believe that he would be anything but poison to her both, personally and professionally.

At the beginning of their story, Cassie was the one who pushed Ethan; however, now we see the complete opposite. They say a turnabout is fair play, hmm… risky, too! Now Ethan wants Cassie back. After being apart for three years, he is willing to do anything and everything to achieve it. There is no doubt in Cassie’s mind that she still loves Ethan, but when we read ‘Bad Romeo’, Ethan and Cassie never had a problem with love or passion and for that matter, it was maintaining a relationship with all the attachments that young love has to offer. Foremost and utmost, trying to deal with Ethan’s hang ups was the crux of the matter.

Quote: Ethan ~ “Yeah, but only because she expected more from me. It took me a long time to expect more from myself. To see that being vulnerable takes a shitload more strength than being closed off and sullen.”

Does time heal scars so deeply ingrained? Does love flourish when comprehension is blown to the wind because a creature of whim is misunderstood and misunderstands all the blatant signals of love? It would seem so. However, in this read, nothing is what it seems to reader. This is a ‘perfect’ recipe for a phenomenal read. One has to mention that we have never ever laughed out loud, sobbed our hearts out and cried happy tears in the same paragraph. So get ready for all these emotions. Because yes, the author is an absolute expert in making us suffer regardless. Did you connect to these two phenomenal characters in the first book? We have no doubt that you will now as they have matured in all aspects. Love, love, love Ethan. Kudos galore for developing such an incredible persona. And Cassie! There are times when one writes a review and is lost for words. How on earth the author has hit her personality on the nail is quite unfathomable. Once again, ‘perfect!’

Quote: Cassie ~ We’re two perfect characterizations, flawless in our denial.”

There are many exceptional quotes KFF could have cited in this review but to be honest, it would have ended up being a carbon copy of this book! Ms Rayven really does have exceptional literally skills! Please don’t think this book just gives pages and pages of angst because even though it is beyond heart wrenching, it delivers some brilliant one liners from not only Cassie and Ethan, but also from the secondary characters. A personal favourite of ours was from Tristan, Cassie’s flat mate who we fell head over heels with! He really tries to guide Cassie so she doesn’t get her heart broken all over again.

Quote: Tristan ~ ‘’Sweetheart, if you go much lower we’re going to have to re-examine my sexuality, and I don’t think either of us is ready for that right now.’’

Like Bad Romeo, this book flits from past to present which is vitally important and most certainly doesn’t spoil the flow of their story. The only way to understand Cassie and Ethan’s issues is by recapping every minuscule detail in their past which is done with so much finesse on the author’s part. How did we cope with it? ‘Perfectly!’ One tends to ignore the rewinding or fast-forward button. One king-size issue being what happened after Ethan breaks up with Cassie the first time when they were still in drama school. Assumptions were made wrongly. And, we may even add, were hurt dreadfully when Ethan walks away from her, all these concepts which we are led to believe, aren’t at all the truth. They still have drama school to graduate from and wow, this is where it gets more and more interesting. No spoilers here but just let’s just say things aren’t at the same point of no return between them.

Quote: Ethan ~ ‘’Do you feel this? This is what makes us keep coming back, despite everything we have been through. This is why I had to change, and why, despite how much I hurt you, you can’t walk away. The way we sink into each other. The way I can’t tell my heartbeat from yours. We have this perfect rhythm, whenever we’re together, and that’s the essence of us. It’s not just sex. It’s about this.’’

One very positive sign is when you’re reading a book and constantly checking how long you have left! Never stop checking as you won’t want it to end regardless of the outcome! This is exactly how we felt about Ethan and Cassie’s story. On the one hand, dreading the ending; on the other, willing it to end so we could find out if Cassie and Ethan get their happy ever after. Well, we hear you ask! Can they possibly find happiness which all of us are hoping for? Never say never! We cannot recommend this read highly enough. This is genuinely a book of true love between two very fragile characters but in different ways. One of Rachel’s favourite poets once said, ‘If you love somebody, let them go, for if they return, they were always yours. And if they don’t, they never were.’

Quote: Cassie ~ ‘’Neither of us is perfect, that’s for sure, but when we’re together, our deficiencies are complemented by the other’s strength.”

One more word for those of you readers who haven’t read this series. Do! You won’t regret it! Only word for a ‘perfect’ read Ms Rayven. Bravo!

Writing has always been a passion for Leisa, and even though she originally intended to be an actress, it wasn’t long into her time at drama school that she began writing plays.

Those plays were bad. Very bad. Well, her friends thought they were good, but that’s because they were always cast in them and any opportunity to be on stage was met with an obnoxious amount of enthusiasm.

Since then, she’s honed her craft, and several of her plays have been produced and toured throughout Australia.

These days, playwriting has given way to fiction writing, and Leisa’s debut novel, BAD ROMEO, is available in a worldwide release through Macmillan Publishing in December 2014.

Leisa lives in Australia with her husband, two little boys, three cats, and a kangaroo named Howard.

(Howard may or may not be her imaginary marsupial friend. Everyone should have one.)

** ARC gifted from the author in exchange for an honest review **

Well what do you know, I think I have a new favourite sport; Hockey! Never thought that would be the case but the writing skill of this author has managed to convince me otherwise. This is the second book I’ve read from this author, The Deal being the first which I loved, so when I was asked to read and review this book, I jumped at the chance.

This book can be read as a standalone as John Logan, Garrett’s best friend from The Deal, is mentioned but now Logan has his own story and wow what a heart-breaking story it is! All this guy wants to do play hard, have fun and play the sport he loves as he knows there is a time limit. Not only did he make a promise to himself which he won’t, no… can’t break, but he also made it to his brother. But he didn’t bank on meeting Grace who is a breath of fresh air to the usual ‘puck bunnies’ who literally throw themselves at him. Grace is no pushover and makes him work for her attention.

Logan: ‘’You’re Killing me here, gorgeous. I’m talking about how much I want to give you a screaming orgasm, and you’re laughing at me? Did we not establish that my ego is fragile?’’

I do love a female protagonist who can hold her own and boy, Grace does! She takes no crap at all. She’s witty, sweet and very loyal. Some of the banter between Logan and Grace made me laugh out loud! She really does make him suffer so when she discovers Logan’s sacrifice for his family, she sees a different side to ‘The Player’ he makes himself out to be.

This is a very sexy read but not in a gratuitous way. After all, this is a New Adult college read and as in the previous book, humour features heavily and done very well. Grace is a virgin when she meets Logan and desperately wants to get rid of her ‘V Card.’ However, Logan treats her with nothing but kindness and respect and after these very sweet sexy scenes, I think I fell in love with Logan just that little bit more.

Grace: ‘’What’s the matter, Johnny? Scared?’’
Logan: ‘’Mocking a guy isn’t gonna get you laid, baby.’’
Grace: ‘’Stalling isn’t going to either. Come on, baby. Deflower me.’’

Whilst I very much enjoyed this book, I didn’t love it as much as ‘The Deal.’ Maybe the reason being Garrett, who I absolutely adored. The banter was hilarious, very sharp and sarcastic in parts which I love in a New Adult read. Elle Kennedy is certainly a very talented writer, and I won’t hesitate to read more by this author. Oh yes, I understand there is a book three in the series, so that will be definitely one I will look out for. I highly recommend this series and if you are a hockey fan then you are in for a real treat!

I’m a New Adult Romance author who loves writing about what happens when love and dreams collide with the real world. I wrote my first novel, Dance for Me, in daily chunks in a very busy, very noisy coffee shop, which meant I had to order a black Americano every hour, on the hour, to keep my seat and wound up wired on caffeine most days. I hit the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists in summer 2013. Unlike my characters, I can’t dance.

Before Undercover, I wrote the Fenbrook Academy series of New Adult romances: Dance For Me, In Harmony and Acting Brave.

From Seduced

There are some moments you know you’re going to remember for the rest of your life. I know this, because one in particular has burrowed so deep into my soul that it’s never coming out. I remember the sickening feeling in the pit of my stomach as the car fell. It was my life, dropping out from under me. The feeling that nothin is ever going to be alright again.
This was the same and yet different. That was an ending; this was something beginning.
I’d stepped away from the bed and towards the door. That single step probably saved my life. If I’d still had my hand on the laptop, he’d have known for sure I was a spy and I would have been carried out of that room in a bloody, plastic-wrapped bundle.
I saw shock on his face and then, just for a split second, another look, one I couldn’t even process, right then—I filed it away for later. Then anger, and a quick glance at the laptop.
Some instinct made me keep my eyes on him. If I’d looked at the laptop, my fate would have been sealed. But I just stood there, mouth open, as he closed the distance between us.
One huge hand slammed into my chest, the palm right on the valley of my upper breasts. He pushed me back against the door, the hard wood jarring me painfully. He kept coming, stopping when his face was inches from mine. The whole world narrowed down to the throbbing heat of his hand against my skin and those burning, ice-fire eyes.
“What the fuck are you doing in my room?” he demanded.
We stared at each other as I took panic breaths through my nose, my lips a tight line of fear. His hand, pinning me to the door, might as well have been made of warm iron. He had me so firmly that I couldn’t even wriggle to the side. And despite my mounting panic, I was aware of the side of his thumb and the side of his pinky finger as they framed the tops of my breasts. Every breath made the soft flesh push and swell around them and a black, twisting energy shoot straight down to my groin. What the fuck is wrong with me?!
In my earpiece, I could hear panicked whispers as Adam, Roberta and the others tried to figure out what to do. Burst in and rescue me? Wait and see how it played out?
His words were replaying over and over in my head. It was the first time I’d ever heard him speak in English. His accent was heavy, softening some syllables and making others granite-hard. His fffuck was like a slow penetration followed by a jerk of the hips.
What the hell is wrong with me?! I wondered again. I had to answer him, had to think of some way out of this, but my mind was stuck on endless loop, replaying his words. Any second now, he was going to snap and just kill me.
So I did the only thing I could think of. I squeezed my eyes shut to try to break the loop and saw that image of him as he’d come out of the bathroom. The shock on his face, flicking momentarily to another look.
Just for a fraction of a second, the ghost of a smile had touched his lips. Not the fake smile he’d given the women downstairs. A smile that actually reached those cold eyes, thawing them a little. It had been gone in an instant, but it had been there. He’d been pleased to see me.
The implications of it were still detonating like fireworks in my chest when I opened my eyes and said, “I was looking for you.”
He went utterly silent. His eyes flicked over my face, fast and brutally efficient, searching for any trace of a lie.
He didn’t find one because, on some level, I think I was telling the truth.
He inched his head back from me, but he didn’t release me. He was getting a better look at me, I realized. He’d been entirely focused on my face, but now his eyes swept down over my chest, my hips, my legs. Something like a hot shudder went through me and I felt a flush rise in my cheeks. That feeling I’d had downstairs was back, that sense of being locked onto each other like magnets, close enough now that I twisted and turned to mimic his movements.
As he looked at me, I looked at him. He was nearly a head taller even with me in my heels, and his frame blocked out almost all of the light from behind him. With the black suit, he looked like he was made of shadow except for those blazing blue eyes. But it wasn’t his size so much as the solidity of him, the realness. Next to him, I felt like a faded, worn-thin copy of a person.
And the weirdest part was, as I stood there pinned against the door, I could feel the energy of him flowing into me, reawakening me. After years spent frozen and slowly dying, I finally felt alive again.
He took a long, slow breath and leaned in closer to me again. He was wearing some cologne I didn’t recognize, something complex and elegant and somehow old-fashioned. He moved his mouth close to my ear. Then he spoke, and each word was like a savage little kiss. “You shouldn’t come looking for monsters. Men like me will eat you alive.”
And then he drew back to see my reaction.
I didn’t know how I was going to react either. I was operating on a whole different level, now, something deep inside me directing things. I was just along for the ride.
I took a shaky breath and whispered, “I’m not scared of you.”
He stared deep into my eyes, appraising me, and said, “Yes you are.”
And a deep, hot oil slick seemed to sluice through me, more complex than fear, more complex than lust.
His free hand closed on my leg, just beneath the hem of my dress. His palm cupped my flesh through the nylon, his heat throbbing into me. And he stared at me, demanding an answer.
I swallowed and stared back, and the message my eyes sent was…“Continue.”
His hand rose, rasping along the dark nylon, my breathing ratcheting higher and higher with each inch. His fingers slid over my thigh…then my upper thigh. Each square millimeter he touched burned as if it was on fire, the energy crackling inward and up towards my groin. The dress was coming up along with his hand, gathering on his wrist. And then he touched the naked skin above my stocking and I realized I was panting.
He stared straight into my eyes as his fingers reached my panties. His fingertips toyed with the waistband for a second…and then continued. He moved inward, now, hoisting my dress up further with an impatient jerk of his wrist. His hand slid over my stomach and up to my chest and—
He cupped my breast, his hand weighing it in my bra. His palm throbbed warmth through the thin fabric, straight into my soft flesh. Then he squeezed—a long, lingering squeeze, and pleasure erupted in my chest and roared out to every corner of me. I tried to go up on my tiptoes, to twist, to thrash in response, but his other hand still had me pinned. I had to just stay there and take it.
I’d never been more turned on.
And then I heard a noise in my earpiece, a soft intake of breath. They’re listening to this!
And my mouth said, “I have to go,” even as my body demanded that I stay right where I was.
Luka had his eyes half-closed. He just remained there, studying me for another few seconds. He gave my breast one last, unexpected squeeze and I gasped as it sent a ripple of heat through me. Then he released me and my dress fell back into place.
Operating on autopilot, I grabbed my violin case and opened the door. I’d taken two steps out into the hallway before I remembered the bodyguard on the stairs. He turned at the sound of the door opening and his jaw dropped. He reached under his jacket—maybe for a radio, maybe for a gun.
But then I heard Luka emerge behind me, and whatever nod or gesture he made to his bodyguard made the man step back immediately and clear a path for me. I didn’t turn around. I just hurried down the stairs, violin banging against my hip, threw the front door wide and headed straight for the cherry-red SUV. Adam was already inside and waiting and I could see the concern in his eyes. But he faked a fatherly smile and opened the door for me. I quickly climbed inside.
We roared away and the last image I had of the house, in the rear view mirror, was Luka in the doorway, thoughtfully watching me go.

“Anger is like a thorn in the heart…the roar of my courage and the cold sweat of my fear.” ~Luca

Pyromania is an impulse control disorder in which individuals repeatedly fail to resist impulses to deliberately start fires, in order to relieve tension or for instant gratification.

Damon Luca, or Luca as they called him. I thought of him more as Damien, the fucking devil within these walls that now is my life. Dark, broody, and deadly to any woman. Mind-blowing, soul-shaking, raw sex appeal. He was a tall statured boy with broad shoulders and a pair of green eyes that set my soul on fire. His inky black hair framed his hard, chiseled features. He had the type of body that had no business being on a seventeen-year-old. I knew that once he fully developed, he’d be nothing short of drop-dead gorgeous. As I said…deadly on the eyes…and dangerous for your heart.

My name is Allison. I met Luca through an unfortunate event when we were younger. I’m now twenty-four, and this is my story. My fucked up life. It’s not a pretty one. Then again, the most interesting ones aren’t…are they? This isn’t your usual love story. Anything but. There are no blue skies, rainbows, or unicorns. Only him…my own personal arsonist. He had the ability to set my panties on fire, leave my body smoldering, and turn my heart into burning embers. He scared the hell out of me, made me feel. He opened my eyes to the world of twisted love. But love no less. This scary, beautiful man stole my heart from a young, tender age and refused to give it back. Here’s our story…
