Today we’re sharing Tracey Lou’s review for New York Times bestselling author’s Kendall Ryan’s all-new novel in the Hot Jock stand-alone series,

Hello, rock?
Meet hard place.

Recuperating from a pulled groin muscle isn’t exactly how I planned to spend my much-needed summer vacation.

But I’ll admit, being nursed back to health by my gorgeous friend Bailey, who’s just graduated from medical school, doesn’t exactly sound like a hardship.

We spend a week together at my family’s beach house, a week of swimming and barbecues, a week of entertaining my little cousins and sleeping right across the hall from each other. A week of watching Bailey grow closer with my mom and sisters, and my wacky but lovable grandma. A week of enjoying Bailey tending to me—which is saying something, because it involves a lot of shoving ice packs into my underwear and taping up sore muscles.

She’s funny and kind, and after just being myself for the first time in a long time, my walls come tumbling down. But when Bailey says she’s not looking for a relationship, I’m bound and determined to be more than just the fun hookup who sprained his groin a second time—this time with her.

Hot Jocks #4 introduces us another player from the ice hockey team the Hawks. The characters are so easy going, humorous and so likeable. A sure winner for a great story.

Bailey is blonde, curvaceous with the most gorgeous brown eyes. Not only is she beautiful, but she also has brains. And just about to graduate from medical school.

Asher is your typical alpha male. Works hard and plays hard. His mantra in life is “I see it, I want it, I take it.” What a great way to go through life, eh?

An injury he sustained whilst playing ice hockey has left him out of action for a couple of weeks, meaning he was now free to head home to see his family and help them celebrate his grandma’s 85th birthday. Only there’s a catch! He needs to be accompanied by a nurse. And that’s where his friend Bailey comes into the story. Did I forget to mention they’re friends?

The physical attraction between these two characters is strong no matter how hard they try to hide it. Spending time together was going to make this story interesting, to say the least.

It’s a will they or won’t they, but we all know they will. He’s had a thing for Bailey but never acted on it. She wants nothing serious as her career as a doctor is just about to start. Will they choose friendship over love? Or will they take a chance?

This story has everything you look for in a book. A great storyline, characters you can connect with emotionally and packed with sizzling heat. Not forgetting how well written it is. It was great to see other characters from previous books incorporated into the storyline as well, and great to catch up with them at the same time.

Congratulations to the author on another fabulous read. Can’t wait for the next one!
