NOME-O SEEKS JULIET by Katy Regnery is LIVE!

Today we are thrilled to be sharing New York Times bestselling author Katy Regnery’s second book in her Odds-Are-Good standalone series,

When a lonely vet(eran) and an ambitious vet(erinarian) work together to win the Qimmiq 200, sparks will fly…

Montana-born veterinary student, Juliet Sanderson, is disappointed when her project on the treatment and care of sled dogs falls through due to the illness of a local musher. In an effort to salvage her study and graduate, she answers the personal ad of Alaskan musher, Cody Garrison, who is desperately seeking a teammate for an upcoming co-ed race, The Qimmiq 200.

Cody Garrison, a retired U.S. Marine, doesn’t tell Juliet that he was left permanently disabled during his time in active service, fearing that she wouldn’t agree to race with him if she knew. But once she arrives in Alaska, discovering the truth about Cody’s past will be inevitable. Will the partnership they’ve agreed to, and the off-the-charts chemistry between them, be enough to see them through the rigors of training and secure them the win of their lives?

Two people looking for something. Two people in need of a hand-up.

Juliet is one of those characters you can’t help but respect and love from the offing. She has plans and she intends to complete them. A leap of faith doesn’t stop her from steaming ahead. Off she goes to Alaska, paving the way for some of the cutest author created huskies I have ever met.
P.S. I’m a huge fan of huskies in general. The dogs alone would have sold this book to me!

Cody Garrison, oh my heart. Serving his country, he is injured. He has to find a reason to carry on. I know without a shadow of a doubt that his dogs are that reason.

This author has always excelled at secondary characters. Any book of hers you read and you’ll find that they are almost as fleshed out as the main cast. Jonas and Rita come to mind. Research has been thoroughly carried out and I can see that right across the board.

I couldn’t help how my heart melted at the sweetness that was Cody when it came to Juliet. What he has endured I have seen real servicemen/women battle. The staring, the sympathy; are all so realistic.

‘This man–this good, sweet, strong, kind man who served his country and lost so much–is asking me for time. He’s asking for the gift of time. And I can’t–not even to stall the inevitability of my broken heart–say no to him.’

I cannot rave about this series enough. It has all the trademark Katy. This author rocks and I cannot wait to see what she does next.
