COVER REVEAL ~ ENCHANTING SEBASTIAN by Kristen Proby

Releasing 24th September, an all-new trilogy set in the Big Sky World.
The Big Sky Royals are here, starting with Sebastian in…

Turning thirty-five doesn’t mean much to most men. For Sebastian Wakefield, it’s the end of life as he knows it.
When your father is the King of England, thirty-five is the year that a marriage will be arranged, a suitable bride cementing a future you didn’t choose. The obvious solution for escaping the archaic laws of the throne is for Sebastian to leave the country. And where better to go than America?
Nina Wolfe has spent her career avoiding scandal. As a Hollywood publicist and minor celebrity in her own right, she knows exactly what it takes to keep the media at bay—and what will send them into a frenzy.
Prince Sebastian hiding out in Cunningham Falls, Montana is an unlikely story. Ending up in his bed, even more so. And keeping their arrangement out of the press might just be impossible. The ring on her finger is about to spark a firestorm that will change her life, and no professional spin will help Nina fit into the world of royalty.
Only love could write an enchanting new beginning—if they’ll let themselves fall.

About Kristen Proby

Kristen was born and raised in a small resort town in her beloved Montana. In her mid-twenties, she decided to stretch her wings and move to the Pacific Northwest, where she made her home for more than a dozen years.
During that time, Kristen wrote many romance novels and joined organizations such as RWA and other small writing groups. She spent countless hours in workshops, and more mornings than she can count up before the dawn so she could write before going to work. She submitted many manuscripts to agents and editors alike, but was always told no. In the summer of 2012, the self-publishing scene was new and thriving, and Kristen had one goal: to publish just one book. It was something she longed to cross off of her bucket list.

Not only did she publish one book, she’s since published close to thirty titles, many of which have hit the USA Today, New York Times and Wall Street Journal Bestsellers lists. She continues to self publish, best known for her With Me In Seattle and Boudreaux series, and is also proud to work with William Morrow, a division of HarperCollins, with the Fusion Series.

Kristen and her husband, John, make their home in her hometown of Whitefish, Montana with their two cats.

I was so excited to catch up with Dom and Presley again. After the misunderstandings, we were left wondering if these two characters would ever be together. This book is a continuation of their story, so it’s imperative that you read the first instalment in the Penthouse Affair Duet, The Two Week Arrangement.

Trust issues played a big part in this book. When there is no trust in a relationship, there is no way forward.

Presley had unknowingly made a huge mistake and was horrified that Dom would not let her explain what had actually happened. Fearing she’d lost her job, she didn’t turn up for work. Despite everything that had occurred, her job was the one thing she still clung to. Knowing that she was a great and talented member of the company, Dom knew that letting her go was not even a consideration.

Presley knew she had to earn Dominic’s trust. She’d it once and wants it again. Finally realising she was in love with him and his girls, all she wanted was a future with them.

Dominic was scared, scared to love. He felt he didn’t have the capacity to love which wasn’t true. The love he had for his daughters was proof of that.

They were still working in the same office all day, every day and this tormented both of them. A business trip overseas comes just at the right time for Presley. The opportunity to show Dom that he can rely on her, trust her and that she’s fallen in love with him. She didn’t mean to fall in love but that, as they say, was inevitable.

A story that holds a lot of emotion between its pages, there were some parts in this book where I just wanted to tell Dom to get a grip! He can be so frustrating at times. When an author can draw you in, turn you inside out and capture your attention to every little detail, this is a good sign.

Beautifully written, these two characters are the perfect match for each other, although they certainly took the long route to find that out.

Another great read from this Ryan and I look forward to reading more of her work. Congratulations!

Dear Sexy AF Intern,

I know you don’t particularly care that I’m the CEO of this company, and you’re just an intern. I also know you’re not impressed by my power or my wealth, and that’s fine.

You think you’ve got me all figured out from working alongside me for two weeks, but you don’t know me. Not really.

You don’t know that I’m a single dad to twin toddlers, or that those two little girls matter more to me than this entire hotel chain.

I’m not interested in starting something deep and meaningful, but what I am interested in is the way your body reacts to mine when we’re in the same room. You probably assume the concentration on my face is work-related, when in reality, I’m figuring out which I want more–to nail you against the wall, or to bend you over my desk.

While you’re too disciplined to act on it, I’m not. And the night you stepped into my limo, all bets were off.

My teeth are chattering by the time I make it to the rear of the building. Running outside without my coat in the middle of February isn’t one of my best ideas, but the truth is, I’m so numb, I can barely feel anything.

Mikah’s sitting on the edge of a massive concrete flower bed. It probably looked happy and colorful during the summer, but right now, the soil is desiccated and covered with a blanket of dirty old snow.

The gloomy, ominous clouds hang low above our heads, threatening yet another blizzard. This winter has been one of the longest I’ve ever seen, one of the darkest too, and I catch myself thinking that I desperately want it to end. Even if it wipes out all the good memories. I just want to stop feeling broken.

Mikah’s turned with his back to me, cigarette smoke floating around him like a halo.

The snow crunches under the weight of my suede shoes as I walk quietly over to the flower bed, my fingers clutched in front of me, my heart rate kicking up. There are thousands of words in my head, yet none of them seem to be appropriate.

“Are you just gonna stand there?” Mikah rasps out after a while without looking at me. He brushes the traces of tears from his cheeks with the back of his hand, tosses the last of his cigarette on the ground, and draws another one from the pack that’s sitting next to him on the cement block.

“Can I have one?” I ask, blurting out the first thing that comes to mind.

“Since when do you smoke?” He chuckles, shifting to face me. His green eyes, still glistening from his tears, search mine.

“Since now.” I shrug, shuffling my feet. My toes are completely frozen and my body has reached a point where moving only makes it more painful, but at least if someone decides to shoot at us, there’s plenty of room to run. There are no walls and no missing exit signs.

Mikah rises and closes the space between us in three strides. “Here.” He takes off his suit jacket, puts it over my shoulders, and gives me his cigarette. His gaze catches mine and we stand motionless for a few moments staring at each other, probably wondering whether the things we’re each feeling right now are any different. When two people are sad over the same person’s death, there’s a strange type of connection, frightening and nerve-racking. It’s like we have this invisible bond and we understand each other without the need to speak.

I’ve never smoked in my life and I have no idea how to hold a cigarette, so I grab it across the middle with my thumb and index finger, wondering which end goes into my mouth. Although I just saw Mikah smoking, my brain has completely lost it.

“The other way,” he says, stepping back to get another for himself.

“Okay,” I mumble under my breath. I stick it between my lips but immediately remove it when the unpleasant taste of tobacco on my tongue causes my stomach to churn. My injured palm stings with the movement, but I try not to think about the pain.

“You dated a dude who was in a fucking rock band and he didn’t teach you how to smoke, Church Girl?” Mikah rolls his eyes and flicks his lighter in front of my face.
