Today we are thrilled to be on tour with Shanora Willams’ all-new romance,
The Man I Can’t Have (The Ward Duet #1)

It started as a simple search for a landscape designer…
I wanted a beautiful backyard for my new home and my neighbors suggested I look into Ward Landscaping & Design.
The owner had no pictures of himself on his website, just a portfolio of nice outdoor sitting areas, pools, and vibrant gardens that I’d always dreamed of having.
Of course I hired him.
I expected to meet an average guy, but Mr. Marcel Ward is far from your average man. He’s handsome, and well-built, and his smile—though a rare trait—is truly infectious.
He’s every woman’s dream—a handsome, older man who doesn’t mind getting down and dirty to create something beautiful all because of his passion for it.
Unfortunately that lucky woman can’t be me.
Although Mr. Ward tests my limits, quickens my breath, and makes my heart skip a beat when he’s around, I’ve promised to devote myself to my husband.
So why am I falling for a man I know I can’t have?
What can you expect?
– An Alpha Hero (who is a bit of an asshole 😉 )
– Super Steamy Scenes
– An Adorable Beagle Puppy
– SOOO MUCH ANGST

Gabby and Kyle Moore have only been married three months when they move into their beautiful dream home. Gabby wants to have a stunning backyard and her new neighbours suggest Ward Landscaping and Design. She sets about looking into the company she considers hiring and whilst there are no pictures of the owner, there’s a very impressive portfolio of previous works. Showing exactly what she has in mind, she decides to hire Mr. Ward. Gabby gets quite the surprise when she meets Marcel Ward. Gorgeous with an amazing smile, not to mention the physique of this man.
Every woman would fall over themselves for him. He takes Gabby’s breath away and even though he makes her heart skip a beat, she can never be close to him. This story is full of angst and I couldn’t help thinking there was a lot more to what I was reading. Things just weren’t always what they appeared to be. Lust and steaminess are in spades, but not overshadowing the fantastic tale being spun.
Marcel was a bit of a complex character. Whilst reading about his past, not only did I empathize with him, but my heart melted too. I wanted him to have a happy outcome and seriously, I couldn’t not warm to this majorly hot man whose sex appeal and tough exterior ooze off the pages. It was easy to see why he and Gabby were drawn to each other: their connection is totally forbidden, making it even more difficult. Kyle is a mysterious one, leading me to think something didn’t feel quite right. He’s hardworking and harps on about it quite a bit; having to fly back and forth between home and New York quite a lot. Yet again, my gut instinct just kept telling me to watch out for him with that air of arrogance about him. Absolutely loved the side characters, mainly Gabby’s best friend, Teagan.
The penmanship is cleverly put together and once you pick this book up, you’ll struggle to put it down. It draws you in like a spider’s web weaving around you. My goodness me, the last couple of chapters were pretty explosive. I had a feeling it was building up to something but wasn’t quite expecting what I got to learn. I can’t wait to find out what’s going to happen in book two, what their fate will be. As soon as I’d finished, I recommended it to my book buddies and friends from KFF one-clicked. I’m pretty certain they’ll enjoy this slow-burn romance as much as I did and looking forward to discussing this fabulous story with them. I’m being mindful about not giving anything away but I have to say that if it were possible, I would definitely have given more than five stars to this epic read. Thrilling angst, passion, deceit, lies and a rollercoaster of emotions are just some words to describe TMICH.
