BECAUSE HE’S PERFECT ~ Title Reveal: Part Three

Today we are thrilled to be sharing six titles from five of the BECAUSE HE’S PERFECT authors and a word about their story.

BECAUSE HE’S PERFECT is a charity anthology, releasing 7th May!

Because He’s Perfect is a charity anthology with all proceeds being donated to the Movember Foundation.

Twenty-two authors ranging from first-time writers to long-term storytellers, seek to dispel all the myths from the romance world about what a perfect hero should be.

Emotional or physical disabilities and illnesses are nothing to be ashamed of; in fact, they can make a man. With the inclusion of a poignantly emotional foreword by NYT Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan, this anthology will take you on a journey through comedic laughs, sweet contemporary romance, and into the world of darkness and bizarre.

Joining the authors on their quest are one graphic artist, two photographers, and two models donating their time and efforts to this project, which has inspired all involved.

We hope you will enjoy what you read, ‘Because He’s Perfect’.

Ally Vance: Deep Breaths is a multi-layered title. It’s named for the breathing exercises used to alleviate symptoms of asthma attacks, of which the hero of my story suffers with. It’s also painfully ironic because it’s so damn hard to breathe when your lungs won’t allow you to. It’s also romantic, because have you ever met someone who simply took your breath away?

Anna Edwards: Don’t Sugar Coat it! comes from a joke between my husband and I after his diagnosis. It was a bit of a shock and we were both numb. My husband ordered a cake from his hospital menu and was telling me what he’d ordered for lunch. I blurted out, ‘Don’t Sugar Coat it.’ We laughed so much. It was just what we needed and I knew that would be the title of my book as soon as I conceived the concept of the anthology.

Maria Macdonald: Life isn’t always easy. Sometimes it’s hard to see the light in the darkness. Don’t let the negative become all consuming. Balance whatever you can with a positive. I call it a ‘suck and sweet’, no matter what’s sucking right now, there is always a sweet of you look hard enough.

Tracie Delaney: “Worth The Risk” came about because of the challenges involved in having a relationship with someone when one party is HIV positive and the other isn’t. It just seemed to fit perfectly. I also wanted to showcase the immense progress made in treating HIV and how those living with the virus are now able to live full and happy lives. What a triumph of science and the indomitable human spirit.

Victoria L. James: I’ll be honest and admit that when writing this story, I didn’t have a particular title in mind. Faith No More actually came to me midway through, when I was immersed in the fact that so many sufferers of PTSD lose their faith in everything when then they’re stuck in this constant loop of past and present. This anthology is incredibly important to me, as is this story. It’s vital we continue to raise awareness and show that everyone struggles, no matter how they appear to the outside world, no matter how big or small their suffering may seem. We’re all human, and sometimes it’s hard to keep the Faith.
