Today we are delighted to be sharing KFF’s review of Stevie J. Cole’s all-new emotional second chance romance, OVER YOU

Spencer Hailstorm.
Leather pants? Check.
Tormented soul? Check.
Rock star extraordinaire? Check.

He’s the guy most women would pay to have break their hearts.
Except me. I already know how hard it is to get over him.
Spencer made me believe in the notion of a soulmate at the age of seventeen. By twenty-three, he made me realize you could only truly hate someone you once loved.
Some people change your world. Some people let the world change them.
Unfortunately, Spencer turned mine upside down.

Spencer Hailstrom has it all. He’s gorgeous, talented and women lust after him. Being a bad-ass rock star helped his cause, too. Only he isn’t interested as he’s hopelessly in love with his best friend and the love of his life, Georgia Anne. And the other love of his life, cocaine. A drug addict’s best friend.

Georgia Anne has it all; well not quite all. She’s head over heels in love with Spencer; the difference is he seemed to love his habit more. They’ve both reached the top together and now it’s falling apart at the seams. Spencer’s slowly killing himself, his career and his marriage. He can’t see it; chasing his addiction has no rival. In and out of rehab isn’t working either, not even the threat of losing his wife is making an impact.

Finally, the time comes when Georgia Anne says enough is enough, and who can blame her! Certainly not me. This book not only pulled at my heartstrings, but made me angry at the same time. I felt the pain Georgia Anne was going through. I felt her helplessness to care for the man she loved. She couldn’t bear watching his slow self-destruction. So what may you ask did she do? One-click and you’ll find out!

When does an addict eventually realize that they have lost everything dear to them? Will it take something life-changing for Spencer to finally come to the conclusion that things need to change. No-one can help you if you can’t help yourself, that is my own personal mantra. Will he help himself? Will Georgia Anne move on with her life and find her happy ever?

This story has it all. Love, hate and angst. Delving into a subject which has its consequences, I felt the author covered it perfectly with the right amount of sensitivity. There were some parts in the book where I really want to give Spencer a smack and shout at him, you dumb…, don’t throw it all away. Don’t kill yourself, you stupid schmuck! Yup, I felt it all. So, will these sweethearts ride off into the sunset together or will they go their separate ways? Congratulations to the author on a well-written book.

Today we are thrilled to be on tour with Shayla Black’s all-new contemporary romance, MISADVENTURES WITH MY EX

Can the ex who once broke her heart seduce her into happily ever after?

Once, Eryn Hope fell fast and incurably for Weston Quaid. And he seemed to adore her too—until she learned their love was built on lies when he walked out on their wedding day.

Three years later, West has finally won control of his family empire and fortune, but it cost him Eryn—something he regrets every day. When business forces him to return to her life and temporarily shut down her livelihood, of course she’s furious. But their chemistry is still beyond combustible. So he makes her a proposition: he’ll take care of her until her bistro reopens…if she becomes his mistress. Her mind screams no, but her body whimpers yes, yes, yes.

As soon as West has her back in his bed, their passion burns hotter than ever. So do his feelings. But can he and Eryn really recapture the love they shared? And when their bargain ends, will he be the one shattered this time or will they finally come together forever?

I didn’t know what to expect when I started this one but what I got was the most delectable slice of chocolate cake. I adore second chance romances and this one checked all the boxes.

Eryn and West were supposed to get married three years ago, only West left her hanging and moved to New York. So much water under the bridge leads to all that lovely tension and salacious behaviours I have come to relish from this author. Through an underhanded business deal they end up spending time together and Eryn fights with all her might not to regain the feelings she once had.

‘It’s too late to question the wisdom of this decision. I lift onto my tiptoes and press our lips together.
I’m kissing Weston Quaid again.
It’s hesitant at first. Then, suddenly, it’s a wildfire. Feeling his mouth on mine is heaven, homecoming, perfection. It’s like every memory of our passion that’s haunted my dreams. His scent fills the air with the olfactory equivalent of crack. His touch almost makes me weep.’

As is usual for this author, the under the sheet action scenes are intense and super sensual. With this book being told by both Eryn and West, the scenes are set and laid out in a way that enforces the intensity and heat. The secondary characters were just as well padded as both Eryn and West. I found myself laughing at the total disconnect between Echo and Hayes. I wonder if we’ll ever get their story, I sure hope so.

Throughout all the ups and downs, there is the constant of family with Eryn. Even though they know better than her; what’s allegedly going to happen, they keep her feet firmly on the ground and are always there for support. Thank you Ms. Black for once again filling my head with wonders and making me lose the real world for just a little while.

“You’re supposed to groom the way I want you to. It’s in the contract.”
That raises my alarm. “It’s not!”
“Oh, it is. Paragraph three, subparagraph six, clause B. You’re to be presentable to my satisfaction.”
“When we go out.” I’m positive that’s what I read. Well, almost…
West shakes his head. “I wrote three-quarters of it myself. I know exactly what it says.”
“You wrote most of that?”
He nods. “After I went home, I managed to finish my last semester of college at Columbia, then attended law school. While working as Quaid’s CEO.”
I blink. “You went to law school?”
“There’s a lot you don’t know about the last three years.”
“Whose fault is that?”
His face shutters closed as he reaches into his jeans for his cell. “I’m done arguing about this.”
With a puzzled frown, I watch as he sends a quick text. Almost immediately, he receives a reply. Then he smiles and tosses the device onto the nearest nightstand. “In the spa downstairs, Leona will clear up that landing strip at ten a.m. tomorrow.”
On one level, it’s heady that he cares about the state of my flesh he intends to use. On the other hand, I don’t understand his insistence to have me bare. “Why are you trying so damn hard to control everything, even the state of my pubic hair?”
“Because I want back the sexual compatibility we once had. I want the naked dinners and the lazy Sunday afternoons. I want the long, hot nights of lovemaking. I want—” He lets out a rough breath and shakes his head. “I want your pussy bare.”
That’s not the whole truth. I know West’s expressions too well. Oh, he wants to recreate something about our past. The question is why? And how much? But I’m guessing it’s not just the sex. Holy cow, is he looking to make me his girlfriend? His “fiancée” again? Maybe…but now that I’m thinking about it, two and two aren’t adding up.
