We are thrilled to be sharing the release of bestselling author Louise Bay’s all-new contemporary romance stand-alone,
THE WRONG GENTLEMAN
I’m an all-or-nothing man—100 percent focused on whatever has my attention.
First it was serving my country in the Special Forces. Then it was building my business. Right now it’s the hot blonde at the bar who’s about to become another notch on my bedpost.
But women never keep my attention for more than a night.
Until I peel off Skylar Anderson’s clothes and her mask starts to crumble, showing me glimpses of the girl she’s hiding. She’s funny, sexy and vulnerable and throws me out of bed before I can catch my breath and suggest breakfast.
When I start my last undercover job on a yacht, turns out, she’s one of the crew. I try, but I can’t look away.
Her high ponytail shows off her kissable neck that tastes like summer.
Her short uniform reveals the killer legs that were wrapped around me last night.
And her provocative smile? I know what that mouth is capable of.
I want to explore her body, discover her secrets and sail off into the sunset with her.
I might want to go all in for Skylar, but she should stay away from me. I’ve got secrets of my own and they can only bring her trouble.
Alternative synopsis from Skylar’s POV

Landan Wolf served in the special forces and then ran a lucrative business he’d recently sold making him extremely rich, opting for a quieter life. However, he’s been asked by an old friend to do one last mission on a luxury yacht. Landon never dates, just has hook-ups and sets his sights on the blonde in the bar before embarking on the task given to him. He’s taken aback by his latest conquest, Skylar Anderson. She wasn’t what he expected and moreover, she’s the one to kick him to the curb after their evening of passion. Landon doesn’t think he’ll see this girl who had surprisingly thrown him off-kilter again. He gets a further shock when discovering the yacht he embarks the mission on is for none other than her.
Skylar Anderson is a beautiful, smart, sassy girl. She doesn’t want to tie herself down to one man, loves her job working around the yacht for weeks on end and never stays in one place for long. Putting on a strong front makes people believe she’s happy with her life, but underneath I could clearly see a vulnerability. One thing’s for sure, she’s feelings inhibited from that one night with Landon. About to spend a whole lot of time working together at sea and nowhere to run, she has no idea that he isn’t your average deckhand.
Told in dual point of view, I loved getting the protagonists’ perspectives in the different scenarios that occur. The secondary characters are a great asset and getting an appearance from Landon’s brother, Hayden and his beloved Avery was phenomenal, too. The chemistry between Skylar and Landon just oozes off the pages and I thought they were incredibly sweet as their friendship grew. They kept themselves guarded from being more which I really liked. And it was refreshing to see a couple become close in other ways other than intimacy. Bay cannily put me on edge with Landon’s hidden secret, and I couldn’t help thinking it would blow up in his face at some point which had me worried for poor Skylar.
Ms. Bay’s words reeled me in and yet again, the talent for creating likeable characters with a very hot alpha was very well put together. Not only was the build-up throughout the story fabulous, but The Wrong Gentleman had everything I like in a good read. Hot characters, humour, mystery and complete intrigue. I highly recommend one-clicking up and diving straight in if a hot British man and sassy American appeals to you with an explosive edge to the book. Bravo Ms. Bay for an impeccably well-written love story!
