I saw her from across the bar.
My bar. My city. Everything in that world belonged to me.
She stood out from the crowd like she was looking for someone to blame for her pain.
That night, I felt the depths of my mistakes. I felt my scars. With a single glance, I knew her touch would take it all away. I craved it more than anything.
I knew she would be a tempting, beautiful mistake.
One I would make again and again… even if it cost me everything.

So before I delve into this review, I would just like to point out that this here book did not finish on a cliffy, but more of a continuation. So let’s just agree that this is part one of an ongoing story.
Jase Cross was commanding, austere and somewhat scary. However, look beyond that and you will catch glimpses of something else. What you may ask? Jase and his brothers are not good guys. They are notorious bad boys whose reputation proceeds them and follows them wherever they go. The selling of illegal drugs, killing people or have someone else do that for them. And on top of all that, they have the local law enforcement in their pocket.
Bethany was the youngest of two. She was sad, lonely and in mourning for her sister who was gone forever. Cruelly murdered and no one seems to know why or have any answers. So what do you do when no one has answers? You go looking for them yourself. And this is where this story begins and how the two main protagonists come together.
A single glance was really all it took. As soon as Jase clapped eyes on Bethany, he desired her. Fiercely and passionately. And he always got what he wanted. He had something she wanted and he wanted something only she could give him. She needed answers and he had different ideas; have his wicked way with her. And what he did to her was definitely decadent and extremely wicked. I will let your imagination run with that one *Wink*
Who knew that her treacherous body would betray her. He knew! So while he was giving her answers, at the same time he was looking for answers himself because he knew that neither he nor his brothers had anything to do with her sister’s murder. Without feeling left out, I also had questions of my own. Who killed her sister and why? And where was this relationship going to go?
I really enjoyed this book. The characters were easy going and connected well. It was well-written and flowed easily. As for the *Play* this couple enjoyed, I’ve learnt something new today. Haha! I sincerely hope we don’t have to wait too long for the next instalment of Bethany’s and Jase’s story.
I actually started writing after having my little girl, Evie, December of 2015. All during my pregnancy with her I read. I only wanted to read smut and I read EVERYTHING. I would read a book a day — sometimes two. In January I was staying up late with her and just thinking of all these stories. They came to me constantly. And I finally sat down and just started writing. I always wanted to do it so I figured, why not?
I never thought I would reach this point of success to be honest. It’s insane to me that I have so many fans. And I love each and every one of them for all of their support. I’ll be honest, some days are HARD. I have my two littles (Jax who’s two and a half and Evie who just turned one!) during the day and I write at night. Some days are just simply exhausting and then I hear from a fan and it makes me want to push through and keep writing. And I do. I promise I won’t stop!
If you enjoy sexy as f*ck and dangerous men getting into trouble for the women they fall for, then you’ll love my books. I like my action hot and my bad boys hotter. And I don’t hold back on either one in my writing.
