“Kennedy Ryan’s writing continues to amaze and inspire. She is a genius wordsmith and a prose poet. And in Banner Morales, she has created the perfect heroine for this day and age. Don’t miss this read. It’s everything.” — Emma Scott, Bestselling Author
Block Shot, Kennedy Ryan’s enemies-to-lovers, second-chance standalone romance is LIVE and FREE in KindleUnlimited!
If I had a dollar for every time Banner Morales made my heart skip a beat…
The heart everyone assumes is frozen over.
Her anger is…arousing.
Every glare from those fire-spitting eyes, every time she grits her teeth,
gets me…well, you know.
If I had a dollar for every time she’s put me in my place, I’d be an even richer man.
I’m a successful sports agent because I assume “no” means you’ll think about it.
I’m sure what you meant to say is “Coming right up.”
They say even rich men don’t always get what they want,
but those men don’t know how to play the game. The trick is to keep them guessing.
Take Banner. She assumes she’s winning, but this game?
She doesn’t even know how to play.
If I had a dollar for every time Jared Foster broke my heart, I’d have exactly one dollar.
One night. One epic fail. One dollar…and I’m out.
I’ve moved on.
I’ve found success in a field ruled by men.
Anything they can do, I have done better.
They can keep the field while I call the shots, blocking them when I have to.
And Jared has the nerve to think he gets a second chance?
Boy, please. Go sit down. Have several seats.
I’ll just be over here ignoring the man carved from my fantasies with a lust-tipped chisel.
Oh, I didn’t say the struggle wasn’t real.
But I’ve got that one dollar, and Jared won’t have me.

Another great read from Kennedy Ryan. Block Shot is a second chance love story that not everyone is lucky to have.
Banner Morales is a strong independent, intelligent kick-ass woman who takes no sh*t from anyone. My kind of woman! This journey takes you from her college years to the present day. A Girl who carries her insecurities around with her to a woman
Jared Foster. Beautiful alpha male, strong, commanding yet loves deeply. Meeting Banner in college would change his life forever. It wasn’t all about studying at the laundromat where they would sometimes meet. A pledge, a spiteful rich boy who was jealous of Banners success, and a misunderstanding was part of the reason why this couple would be separated for years to come.
When these two characters reconnect years later, both are successful in their chosen careers. How uncanny was it that they were both in the same business, sports management. Banner working her way to the top and Jared opening up his own management company with his brother and relocating to LA.
Even though Banner was in a relationship, the feelings she had for Jared was still there. Jared felt jealous when he heard that Banner seeing someone who just happened to be her client. The attraction was ever present, but would they act on it? It wasn’t going to be straightforward for these star-crossed lovers…would love prevail? Would they get there happy ever after?
What I loved about this book was Kennedy Ryan’s style of writing. It was absolutely flawless. The story flowed throughout and made it an enjoyable read. Both characters were strong, likable and at times I just wanted to fist bump with Banner who’s so feisty and dynamic. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this book to my fellow bookworms. Congratulations on a superb piece of writing. 5 stars just don’t seem enough.
