MORE OF YOU by A.L. Jackson is LIVE!

MORE OF YOU, a second-chance, small town stand-alone romance in A.L. Jackson’s Confessions of the Heart Series
is now available!

My daddy warned me never to fall for a boy like Jace Jacobs . . .
The second I saw him walk through the door, I knew he was trouble.
A gorgeous rebel with a bad attitude and a huge chip on his shoulder.
My heart warned me. I didn’t listen. I saw something protective and good beneath the fierce, tough exterior.
I fell hard and fast.
He promised we’d be together forever, and then left me with a broken heart.
Now, ten years later, Jace Jacobs is standing at my door.
Sexier than he’s ever been.
Provocative and commanding.
Successful and powerful.
The man I always knew he would become.
But I promised myself I’d never lose my heart to him again.
Even time couldn’t dim our chemistry. One glance of his intense eyes, and I become weak. One
brush of his hand, and he brings me to my knees.
Little do I know, Jace holds the key to everything I’ve lost and everything that threatens my future.
Now he will either save me, or he will break me all over again . . .
More of You – a Confessions of the Heart second-chance, stand-alone romance

Just as the title suggests, I want more of this book. Ms. Jackson creates characters with so much realness. Edgy, sharp and fragmented; people who move through life adjusting to their environment as best they can.

When we meet Faith she is a broken shell, devoid of sunshine and light. Her husband is dead, murdered, three months ago, the case active but no leads. She spends her days and nights in constant terror, losing grip on her senses and sanity. Knowing she must get through each day for her daughter, Bailey.

Jace has come back after being away for nearly ten years. He and Faith have history, history so profound it moulded them into the adults they are. Meeting Faith brought a new colour to Jace’s life. She was the light to his darkness. She believed in him and the world around them when he couldn’t even believe in himself.

‘I was in deep. Deeper and deeper.
Losing myself.
But the problem was, I’d been lost for years.
And with her in my arms? The only thing I could think was that I’d been found,
Which was so goddamned stupid.’

More of You was a journey like one I’ve never had the pleasure of discovering before. Trying to put into words what this book made me think and feel is almost impossible, I know I won’t ever do it justice. But as always I’ll give it the old college try.

The history between Jace and Faith is full of secrets and unspoken words. His childhood was about fighting for his family and Faith was brought up by two parents who adored her. A boy from the wrong side of the tracks many believe will never amount to much. Faith, aptly named if you ask me, believes in him and trusts him beyond all measure. First loves run deeper than most and are always memorable. Can you truly move on from the one person in this world who makes you feel truly alive? Can secrets and regrets ever really be shown in the light of day and not end up rusted and ruined? Can you ever forgive someone who broke you so bad your still missing fragments of your heart and soul?

This author knows how to work a reader up. I don’t know how she continually does it. She adds the slow burn and the angst like I add ingredients to a cake recipe. She knows exactly what to add and where to fit it in for optimum impact. For two people with history, you can’t just have them move from anger to love in a few chapters. It has to be done slowly, like the tide coming in. This very situation is what S.L. does to near perfection. My favourite books are second chance romances. I thrive on the rediscovery and emotions these types of relationships bring to the table.

‘Because loving Jace Jacobs had always felt like the easiest thing in the world. Right up until that love was taken away.’

The fact that the story is set in a small town sells it to me even more. I love reading about small towns and how supportive they can be when the crap starts to fly. Of course, A.L. balances this out by showing the negative of this as well.

The one part of this read I cannot forget is what Jace sacrificed. The prologue was only a small part of what really was happening in that scene. Faith didn’t know the half of it. Add to the storyline a dose of mystery and danger and this book is as combustible as napalm.

‘Sadness crested his features. Face masculine and striking. Every time I looked at him, it twisted something deep inside me. My love for him was bigger—more important—than anything side in my small, little world.’

‘But that troubled boy was my shining star.’

Jace will do anything to keep Faith and her daughter safe, even lay his life down for them. Does this end on a good note? I’m not saying but even I asked that question at one point. There was so much happening on each page, but it never felt overwhelming.

‘Consuming in a way that only this boy could be. Trembling and shaking through me. Like the first time I’d seen him.
Something that vibrated through the air that I could taste.
An omen.
A premonition.
My world about to change. For the better or worse, I couldn’t be sure.
All I knew was this man stripped me bare.’

This author is a one-click for me. Thank you for bringing to life one of the best second chance romances I have read in years. Jace, Faith and Bailey have imprinted themselves on me and I cannot wait to see where this series go. Ian needs taming, that is for sure. Well done Ms. Jackson and thank you so very much. Flamin’ Brilliant!

I hope you love Jace and Faith as much as I do. I’m so proud of this story, and am so thrilled to release it out into the world!
