Twenty-six years.

Nine thousand, four hundred and ninety days.

Every hour, a relief.

I’m a thug. A pusher. A low life. Governed by the hand that feeds me and holds my sister against me. I am named ‘Gripp’ for good reason. Every breath I take is one I hold dear, for my life dictates a short span.

I hit on women to save face, while I screw men in back alleyways to hide. My brazen attempt to seduce my sister’s best friend fell short, leaving me spiralling out of control. I’m not good enough for Ayden Rinaldi, but it doesn’t mean I’m not going to try.

I want him with a passion I have never felt before.

The chips are stacked against me, against us. The muddy waters I tread, taint all who come near. On bended knees, my world finally rips itself apart, leaving me sinking to the bottom of my black existence. In death’s darkest hour, I am lost, Ayden a shadow of the man he once was.

But he is my anchor.
I am his.

And we must swim these choppy waters before they drown us.

Please note that Changing Tides has instances of m/f scenes (two) which are integral to the plot and the character of the main MC. It is not possible to tell this story without these scenes.

Twists and turns abound in K A Sands first M/M novel. An interconnected standalone full of action, suspense and toe-curling heat. You’d be a fool not to read! Please be aware, this book contains distressing and mature themes and you must be 18+ to read.

Oh wow! This is the first MM book I have reviewed and definitely one of my top reads this year. Although the characters in this book are interconnected to the Razer series this book can be read as a standalone. I would suggest; however, that you read the other books too so you will be more clued in on the other characters.

Ayden is the son of Lucca Rinaldi from the previous Razer books and this is his story. A confident young man who owns his sexuality, he has the support of his family and best friends Jake and Sophie. His world turns upside down when he meets Shaun and although he is drawn to Shaun’s darkness, is he willing to take that next step?

Shaun aka Gripp is a man in his mid-twenties, heavily involved in the unsavoury world of drugs. When his and Ayden’s world collide, they felt that instant attraction. But Shaun is good at faking everything especially his true self; he can’t give away his secrets as it might cost him his life and new found love.

This author’s fourth book totally blew my mind. This is a contemporary MM romance about two individuals who are from different backgrounds: one grew up privileged and the other comes from a world of violence and dubious connections. Their tale is a rollercoaster of emotions: betrayal, redemption, and love; a white knuckle ride and hanging at the edge of your seat type of book. I wish I could spill out more juicy details of their story but I don’t want to give away any spoilers. You need to find out for yourself why Ayden and Shaun are my new favourite heroes. Honestly, Shaun and Ayden’s relationship tied me up in knots it gave my heart a wedgie. And yes, that ending, I was totally gobsmacked! I highly recommended this book.

Welcome to Beaufort. Welcome to the Razer Series.
Not your ordinary fluffy, feel-good romance…

I was desperate, desperate for intimate contact with him, desperate for another taste of him, and almost begging for something I’d never had before. I would have pleaded on my hands and knees and enjoyed every minute of it. Anything. Anything at all to have him. I was desperate, desperate for intimate contact with him, desperate for another taste of him, and almost begging for something I’d never had before. I would have pleaded on my hands and knees and enjoyed every minute of it. Anything. Anything at all to have him.

Ayden sucked in a sharp breath, lifting his hands to my head, sifting his hands through the strands of my hair. A gentle movement that hurt, I pretended it meant more than it did, and my eyes drifted shut as I lost myself to the softness of his fingertips against my scalp.

Jesus, he was undoing me, little by little.

Calmness washed over me, a place I’d love to have lingered for a while longer knowing I may never get it again. The world around me stilled, and it was just me and him, nothing else mattered. It was coming home, it was being free, it was my all. Maybe if I stayed right there, the world would leave me behind and forget I existed.

I’m not ready for you…not yet.

He plucked sharply at my hair, bringing me back down to earth with a jolt of desire, my lust kicking in tenfold at the pain lancing through my skull.

For the first time in my life, I sank to the floor willingly and kneeled before the man that had stolen all my senses. In that one singular moment I bowed before him, awash with a myriad of emotions I didn’t fully understand. He caught me off guard yet didn’t unsettle me like I imagined he would. I recognised the moment exactly for what it was.

His fingers became a dizzying caress, mapping circles across the crown of my head. It wasn’t what I wanted now, not what I needed. Not enough. I wanted more, so much more.

“You using condoms, dude? Glove up, always. If it don’t feel so good with a rubber on, go buy some of that play lube shit they have at the supermarket. Makes your dick hot or something. That’ll make it feel better.”

I burst out laughing as my dad glared daggers at Ryder. My uncle was something else, no mouth filter most of the time, much to my dad’s displeasure.

“Ryder!” My dad admonished right on cue.

“What? Just saying.” He shrugged. “What’s your sage advice then, oh wise one?”

“God, you’re a pain in my arse sometimes. You want coffee I take it?” He stood up to fetch his brother a fresh cup.

“Yeah. So, who’s the chick?” He obviously hadn’t got a good look last night.

“It’s Sophie,” my dad spilled before I could. “So watch your mouth.”

“Oh, man.” Ryder looked astonished. “You don’t pork your best mates, Ayden. That’s a shit storm waiting to happen. Did we not teach you anything?”

Meet K A

K A Sands is an exciting new author who has a passion for reading and more often than not, can be found with her nose stuck in a book. She loves angsty, dark reads but is not averse to the fun, light-hearted side either. Typically, a romance reader, of most genres/sub-genres, she loves reading a debut herself. Her passion for the written words goes back to her childhood and she has always dreamed of writing and telling the world her stories.

Not quite a stay at home mum, K A Sands has a busy life which she shares with her husband of twenty-two years and her little monkey boy. Her adult children have flown the coop already, but still manage to come home for ‘mama’s lasagna.’

Avid eater of mayonnaise and chips, anti-get-fitter, lover of cheesy music and a fierce advocate of things close to her heart. She enjoys doing Photoshop manipulations and would love to be a whiz using it… maybe one day. She has a bucket list as long as her arm, which includes skydiving and visiting Cambodia. And wants to travel the world.

Great believer in second chances, insta-love (because her love is a product of that), fairy tales and monsters… K A Sands just wants to write all the words for you.
