For me, these two authors merit the ‘dynamic duo’ title! They certainly went to town with their character development and the plot; ooh my word, I couldn’t have been more nervous while waiting for the second book in the Rush Series. And even though the release of Rebel Heart wasn’t long after Rebel Heir, the seed of intrigue had been sown in such a way that trying to get the female protagonist out of my head was nigh on impossible. I mean, the bombshell dropped at the end of the last chapter was like you’d never imagine and not only did my heart go out to the poor lass, but I also needed to give her a huge hug!

Yes, a girlie bosom hug ‘cause man, did she deserve it! I really empathized for Gia, albeit I wasn’t overly enamoured with a couple of Rush’s actions. At the same time, I knew I wasn’t being entirely fair to him because his personal issues weighed heavily. Gia’s forbearance regarding the whole debacle I found uplifting. Understandably, she has her moments of weakness, yet I still found her to be emotionally stronger than Rush. Grabbing the bull by the horns, she tries hard to do her best and just get on with it. Even so, as the story progressed Rush demonstrated to me he wasn’t just capable of accepting the situation they were in, but also prepared to fight tooth and nail for what he wanted. Nothing is easy for these lovebirds. Angst abounds, and twist and turns where the reader least expects them to turn up, knock you for six.

I really liked Rush and Gia as a couple. Both have that special feeling the authors conveyed perfectly. I loved the banter, the humor shared and the bedroom scenes; well, wherever they happened to be scorching hot!

Rush’s brother was a thorn in the backside. In fact, to say this individual and his mother were conniving so-and-so’s would be an understatement, and if there were ever two characters who added so much negativity to a story, it had to be them. However, their dastardly ways kept everyone on their toes, myself included. I can honestly say giving this pair a good Kindle bashing wouldn’t have gone amiss!

Sadly, the finale is here. I enjoyed both books immensely, perhaps Rebel Heir a teensy-weensy bit more than this one, but I wouldn’t think twice about recommending this duet to my book buddies or future readers. Don’t forget, series has to be read in order. Bravo Ward and Keeland!

How to kick off a great summer in the Hamptons:

Snag a gorgeous rental on the beach. Check.

Get a job at a trendy summer haunt. Check.

How to screw up a great summer in the Hamptons:

Fall for the one guy with a dark leather jacket, scruff on his face, and intense eyes that doesn’t fit in with the rest of the tony looking crowd. A guy you can’t have when you’ll be leaving at the end of the season.

Check. Check. Check.

I should add—especially when the guy is your sexy, tattooed God of a boss.

Especially when he not only owns your place of employment but inherited half of the town.

Especially when he’s mean to you.

Or so I thought.

Until one night when he demanded I get in his car so he could drive me home because he didn’t want me walking in the dark.

That was sort of how it all started with Rush.

And then little by little, some of the walls of this hardass man started to come down.

I never expected that the two of us, seemingly opposites from the outside, would grow so close.

I wasn’t supposed to fall for the rebel heir, especially when he made it clear he didn’t want to cross the line with me.

As the temperature turned cooler, the nights became hotter. My summer became a lot more interesting—and complicated.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.

Who knew things could get even darker and dirtier in New Orleans? New York Times bestselling author Meghan March introduces the Savage Prince of the city, the man you never want to meet.

I do what I want and who I want. I don’t follow anyone’s rules—even my own.
I knew I shouldn’t touch her, but it didn’t stop me.
Didn’t stop me the second time either. Only made me want a third.
My lifestyle suits the savage I am, and she doesn’t.
But Temperance Ransom is my newest addiction, and I’m nowhere near ready to quit her yet.
I’ll have her my way, even if it means dragging her into the darkness.
Hopefully it doesn’t kill us both.

Savage Prince is book one of the Savage Trilogy, set in the same world as Ruthless King, however you do not need to read the Mount Trilogy to devour this scandalously hot new story.

KFF’s review

He’s a mystery. An enigma.

His very identity is a secret buried beneath layers of deception.

He’s also an addiction I can’t shake. An attraction I can’t fight.

And then I found out exactly who he is—a man more dangerous than the devil himself.

Now I need him in order to save everything that matters to me.

I have to pull back. Protect myself from the danger that haunts his every step.

Which would be easy . . . if I could stop myself from falling in love with him.
