REVIEW BLITZ ~ THE DATING EXPERIMENT by EMMA HART

1.Get over my best friend’s brother.

2.Remember that I’m over him.

3.Prove I can date other people.

It should be easy.

It’s not.

Setting up a dating website with the guy I’ve been in love with since I was five wasn’t my smartest idea.

Especially since he’s my best friend’s brother—thankfully, she’s okay with the fact I’m pulling a Sandy and I’m hopelessly devoted to him.

Which is why it’s time to get over him.

So I do something crazy and ask Dominic Austin to find me a date. He does—if I find him one, too.

Since we own Stupid Cupid, it should be easy, right? And it is.

My date is perfect. His date is perfect. Everything is perfect.

Until he kisses me…

Three dates.

One kiss.

And a big-ass mess…

This is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed her style, the amusing and witty banter between the characters tickled my funny bone. Some of the secondary characters in this story, Peyton and Elliot were featured in the other book, The Hook-Up Experiment. Both books can be read as standalone although I would suggest that you also read Peyton and Elliot’s story.

Chloe is Peyton’s best friend and business partner to Dom. She has been in love with her best friend’s brother who also happens to be her business partner and oh boy, it gets complicated. Chloe is a feisty and cheeky woman who regularly spits out verbal diarrhoea when dealing with Dom. She has been crushing on him since she was fifteen. Is it time for her to move on since it looks like the love of her life is totally clueless?

Dom is Peyton’s older brother and a royal pain in the neck to Chloe. It’s a wonder they ended up as business partners of a dating agency. He might have the looks but his forgetfulness drives Chloe bonkers. Is he really as oblivious to Chloe and only sees her as his sister’s best friend or does he harbour the same feelings for her?

This is one of the funniest romance stories I’ve read. The verbal sparring between Chloe and Dom is hilarious, although sometimes it gets annoying when these two bicker and snipe at each other like a pair of twelve year old kids. Despite their frequent head butting, one can sense the sexual undercurrent between them.

“I might have a degree in assholery, but you’re teaching the damn class.”

“And everything I’m teaching I learned from the textbook you’ve written over the last twenty-five years.”

This fast paced romantic comedy is such a delight to read. The characters are en pointe; the rapid-fire exchange of words between these two is entertaining. Having met Peyton and Elliot in this book and getting a glimpse of their interesting characters make me want to read their story as well and I think you should too.

By day, New York Times and USA Today bestselling New Adult author Emma Hart dons a cape and calls herself Super Mum to two beautiful little monsters. By night, she drops the cape, pours a glass of whatever she fancies—usually wine—and writes books.

Emma is working on Top Secret projects she will share with her followers and fans at every available opportunity. Naturally, all Top Secret projects involve a dashingly hot guy who likes to forget to wear a shirt, a sprinkling (or several) of hold-onto-your-panties hot scenes, and a whole lotta love.

She likes to be busy—unless busy involves doing the dishes, but that seems to be when all the ideas come to life.
