He’s a mystery. An enigma.
His very identity is a secret buried beneath layers of deception.
He’s also an addiction I can’t shake. An attraction I can’t fight.
And then I found out exactly who he is—a man more dangerous than the devil himself.
Now I need him in order to save everything that matters to me.
I have to pull back. Protect myself from the danger that haunts his every step.
Which would be easy . . . if I could stop myself from falling in love with him.

When a ginormous cliffy presents itself at the end of a read, there’s nothing like waiting for the next book to build up the tension, now is there? Savage Prince flowed at such velocity, to say I was on kept tenterhooks throughout would be an understatement. However, Ms March assured her readers that they’d get Iron Princess fairly soon and I can’t thank her enough. Just as well seeing that my eagerness to find out what his next move would be literally had me crying out for more! Not surprisingly, the man with no name left many unanswered questions in his wake. Not only did I want to see if said questions would be clarified, but was also itching to find out how Temperance would react to…ahem, some shocking news!
“…Sometimes the universe has different plans than you do, and there’s not a damn thing you can do about it.”
Temperance Ransom hasn’t had anything given to her on a silver plate. She’s earned her employer’s trust through hard work and achieved what she has with an iron-will. She’s certainly trustworthy but who can she trust, you may ask! There are so many hurdles in her story that I actually wanted her to slow down a tad. I felt as if she was getting in over her head and this worried me no end. Her being so adamant; so stubborn and sure of herself, didn’t help me organise my thoughts regarding the situation she was in. She comes across as a woman of the world which isn’t exactly true and despite learning the hard way, holding her own with the leading man made me feel slightly better. I really liked Temperance in Savage Prince; in this read she bowled me over with her sassiness. Her past insecurities and present vulnerabilities are highlighted in a complex plot that thickens by the minute. Yet will her faith in him be enough to save her from what could be a finale seeped in dangerous manipulations? Obviously, discovering who’s behind such schemes means being patient.
“You’re one of a kind, Temperance. Truly.”
The leading man oozes intrigue! Sharp, professional and ohh so drop-dead gorgeous, provoking him is like setting a fire alight. Regardless of his cool-as-ice facade, I damned well connected to him at the drop of a hat. His mannerisms, his lack of savoir faire were perfectly perfect for his character. Saying that, he knows how to adapt regardless of him feeling uncomfortable. He’s a chameleon, a man of his own word; deadly and dreadfully protective of the lady who confuses the pants off him….no pun intended, of course! And give me a man donning a suit and tie like a second skin is a sure way to get me swooning. Good taste he has in all aspects of his personal life; nonetheless, only one woman has ever brought him to his knees. Guess who!!!
‘I’ve never known a man who wears a pocket square before, and I had no idea it would be so sexy.’
I said this in the previous review and I’ll say it again. Theirs is an addictive erotic relationship. March is an expert at titillating the reader to the point where one’s either grabbing for a fan or putting the aircon on full blast! The bedroom scenes for want of a better expression are pure dynamite. The two of them ignite the pages, leaving you rather flustered if I say so myself!
“You don’t have any problem telling me what you do want. The same goes for what you don’t want. Got it?”
March took me to two places. Firstly, the darker level I’m not overly fond of actually worked well for me. And the protagonists’ journey soaked in conspiracy I found enthralling. Action-packed and fast-flowing, there’s no doubt in my mind the author has brought out the big guns and that’s not speaking metaphorically, either. Beyond expressive, her detailed account kept me stuck to every page, and the banter…wow! Moments of quirky humorous comebacks combined with angst-ridden discussion were what made this follow-up unputdownable. I would be lying if I said there weren’t a couple of scenes where I wanted to give my Kindle a good bashing, too. I truly wanted to give this book five stars, but I think March set herself a difficult task. Beating the first story with all its cleverly construed ruses was for me nigh on impossible. Yet this doesn’t mean I can’t wait for the next instalment. Get ready! Another cliffy of huge proportions will have you anxiously awaiting Rogue Royalty. Bravo March!
Who knew things could get even darker and dirtier in New Orleans? New York Times bestselling author Meghan March introduces the Savage Prince of the city, the man you never want to meet.
I do what I want and who I want. I don’t follow anyone’s rules—even my own.
I knew I shouldn’t touch her, but it didn’t stop me.
Didn’t stop me the second time either. Only made me want a third.
My lifestyle suits the savage I am, and she doesn’t.
But Temperance Ransom is my newest addiction, and I’m nowhere near ready to quit her yet.
I’ll have her my way, even if it means dragging her into the darkness.
Hopefully it doesn’t kill us both.
Savage Prince is book one of the Savage Trilogy, set in the same world as Ruthless King, however you do not need to read the Mount Trilogy to devour this scandalously hot new story.
