From the New York Times bestselling author of The Blueberry Lane series comes a new trio of romances featuring the Haven triplets!

Rory Haven and Brittany Manion knew one another as children…

…but it’s been a long time since their childhood summers at Summerhaven.

The Havens weren’t the children who attended exclusive Summerhaven Camp in Center Sandwich, New Hampshire. They were the children of the owners, expected to “pull their weight” and absolutely forbidden to fraternize with the paying guests. But that didn’t keep Rory from having a quiet, unrequited crush on gorgeous, popular, insanely-rich, Brittany Manion for three tortuous summers.

When all-grown-up, recently-engaged Brittany books the off-season summer camp for her upcoming spring wedding, she immediately recognizes Rory as the scorching-hot boy who wouldn’t give her the time of day. Meanwhile, Rory, who senses that Brittany’s nuptials are less about Mr. Right and more about Mr. Right Now, launches the fight of his life to win the heart of the girl he’s always wanted.

Three siblings.

Three seasons.

Three stories.

Calling all devotees of the hit TV show, “This is Us” . . . New York Times bestselling author Katy Regnery has a trio of siblings she’s dying for you to meet!

Irish-American triplets, Tierney, Rory and Ian Haven (trí ciarde, in their mother’s native Gaelic) grow up as “children of the help” at Summerhaven, an ultra-exclusive camp for rich, city kids in New Hampshire.

Years later, distinct personalities, an unusual upbringing and complicated family dynamics will challenge their hopes for lasting true love.

3.5 Stars ~ Reviewed by Emma-Louise on behalf of KFF

I love me a book with Irish characters, and in this book there are three. I was a little spoiled as several were very hot men (insert drooling at thought of accent).

Rory is all about family and duty. He loves without limits and has such big dreams that I just wanted to do whatever I could to help him achieve them.

Brittany is a woman after my own heart. Deep inner turmoil and full of self deprecation. I loved her no nonsense, pulling up her sleeves and mucking in attitude.

Some of my favourite secondary characters in the last year existed in this book, Mrs T for example was a total hoot. On the reverse side of this one specific character, one of them had me wanting to rip their head off because of their attitude, so well created by the way. Fighting Irish is one of those special little gems that is a true slow burn romance. I didn’t understand that to begin with and I started to wonder, but that is on me and I’m so glad I kept on with reading.

‘I was so scared of pushing him away, I couldn’t be myself. But when I’m with Rory, I’m here. I’m with him, in the moment, aware of every breath, every sound, every touch, every feeling. I’m present. I’m genuine. I laugh and I cry and I’m not scared that he’ll push me away, so I don’t hold anything back from him-I’m myself. I’m me.’

The next book in this trilogy comes out in April and I’m really looking forward to “Smiling Irish”, the character was so present in this book that it’ll be brilliant to see them go through their journey.

“All these bruises,” Smoke muses. “And not one of them caused by me.” He trails a hand up my arms and down my flat stomach. “Pity, but I still have time to leave my mark on you yet.”

My entire body stiffens. I’m as rigid as a corpse.

Smoke chuckles and I’m glad I’m facing away because his laugh is pure torture, causing his erection to vibrate against my folds which are aching for more contact.

“You will be punished, hellion. You can be sure of that.”

I look over my shoulder and meet his dark eyes which darken even further as his pupils dilate. His lingering gaze rakes me over from my feet to my breasts and back down to the space between my thighs. He licks his full bottom lip.

My stomach flips. My will to fight him off doesn’t waiver, but my body isn’t getting the message. My core clenches again. I turn back around to face the tile, digging my teeth into my lower lip until I taste my own blood.

His chest presses against my back, and his hardness pulses between my legs, rubbing against my inner thighs. He squirts some shampoo in his hand, working it into my hair. He tilts my head back and rinses my hair then slides his slick and soapy hand down my body.

I’m breathing rapidly now. Short quick breaths I can’t control. There’s a deep rumble in his throat. His hand travels lower and lower on my stomach until it’s between my legs. He’s working his thumb over my swollen nub, sending sparks of need, pangs of pleasure, and a wave of self-hatred, surging within my battered body and bruised soul.

“What…what are you doing?” I ask, seeing flashes of white hot lust behind my closed eyes.

“More questions…” his voice a hearty amused rasp. His fingers circle my clit while he continues to rock his hard cock between my legs. The pressure building is so strong it borders on painful.

Tears leak from my eyes. I’m so fucking mad at myself for being turned on. For Smoke being right. I’m so wet. He feels it. There’s no way he can’t feel it.

He leans in close. I’m stone still except for the tremors gripping my body. He licks the tear off my cheek and groans. He dips the tip of his finger inside of me and I tighten around the intrusion. It’s a foreign sensation. Strange. It feels both wrong and right. Pleasurable and painful. “Your tight little pussy is weeping too. I wonder if its tears taste the same.”

I look over my shoulder as he withdraws his finger and sucks it into his mouth. He groans. “Fear or desire. They both taste real fuckin’ good to me.”

He places his hand back between my legs. When I try to squeeze my thighs together to keep him out he parts them with his knee on a grunt and begins circling my clit again. This time harder. Faster.

I’m staying as still as I can, but when I feel something begin to happen inside my body. The sparks he ignited within me are all crashing together. I can’t hold back. My face scrunches as I try to fight the orgasm fighting its way out, but it’s no use. I can’t fight it. It’s too fucking strong. I’m so fucking close.

I arch my back without thinking, pressing my ass against him, begging for more. For what I need to push me over the edge.

Smoke hisses. “Oh, what I could do to this beautiful little pussy.”

The pleasure builds and builds as he strokes me harder. Faster. I’m about to come all over his fingers when the feeling is lost.

I spin around.

Smoke is gone.

I can’t see through the steam so I shut off the spray and wipe the water from my eyes only to see Smoke toweling off in front of the sink on the other side of the bathroom.

The only proof I have of what just happened between us was real is his cock. Erect. Thick. Huge. The purplish swollen head bobs against his abs, jutting out over the top of the towel he wraps around his waist.

“What…what just happened?” I stammer, leaning back against the wall for support.

Smoke steps forward, and when I go to jerk back, he reaches out and pinches my nipple painfully hard. I yelp and leap back, slipping on the tile, falling on my ass, taking the shower curtain down with me.

Smoke rips the curtain off my head and glares down at me with a triumphant grin on his evil beautiful face. “What just happened was called punishment and you got off easy. Next time I’ll split that tight pussy in two with my fucking cock.”

He goes to leave but stops. “You want pain?” he asks. “I’ll give it to you. You want pleasure? Now that’s something you’re gonna have to earn.”

He leaves, slamming the door behind him.

I release a shaky exhale.

I’d hoped the rest of my time with Smoke would be tolerable, but there’s no fucking way that’s going to happen. Not now. Not with my skin crawling with need. I’m losing my mind. About where I am. About what this is all about. About this beautiful horrible evil man.

I feel like I’ve already been split in two.

What Smoke is doing to me is far more than punishment.

It’s pure fucking torture.

Luck seems to be following me around of late since Summers is another author I’ve discovered. And the funny thing about Hunter was I had no intentions of reviewing it…life and all that gets in the way, doesn’t it? But I’ve found five minutes to jot down my thoughts so put the kettle on, and we’ll have a chat about the book and its author with a cuppa! Summer’s writing affected me. Taking into consideration I’d made mental notes, not written ones, I do hope I don’t forget what I wanted to tell you without of course, letting on. Can’t have that, now can we?

“Who are you?”

“I’ve already told you.”

“You haven’t told me a damn thing.”

“Then maybe it’s none of your business.”

The plot is gritty, innovative and overflowing with suspense. Add a sassy kickass heroine and a drop-dead gorgeous hero into the mix and you’ve got a book that’s sheer dynamite! I know it sounds like a movie pitch but just wow; I felt as if I were a bystander watching action-packed scenes unravel and get this, from word go! Its narrative is fast paced, making the entire novel a piece of cake to read in one sitting. Yeap, once you start, I doubt you’ll be able to stop. And what impressed me more was how quickly and easily I connected to the protagonists.

“Well…” “It was nice meeting you.”

“I assure you, the pleasure was all mine.”

She has a job to do. It’s personal; it’s complicated and no-one will stop her because she is in control, she’s prepared and she’s good, I mean, very good! Obviously, it’s not as easy as it sounds. Summers conveys the smallest part of the plot to the reader early on, but what her canny narrative tack would do is keep me on tenterhooks throughout. Furthermore, I wouldn’t learn the female character’s real name (nope, I’m not going to spill the beans) until well after discovering her goal. A necessary goal I might add.

“Revenge is such a pretty picture.”

It wasn’t even a pick up line. A simple comment between a man and a woman and I flipping well loved it. Rubbing my hands together with glee, I couldn’t wait for more. The chemistry literally steamed up my Kindle…oops, maybe not lol, but honestly… nothing you think will happen, happens and vise versa! And then the banter between them! Please…perfect, just bloody perfect. Short staccato sentences, sarcasm at its best and the author’s descriptive writing and I was over the moon!

“Do I look like the type of woman to make mistakes?”

“No. But there’s always a first, and I have a special feeling I’m going to be a special kind of mistake.”

He has a job to do that’s been on his agenda for a long, long time. Ah, but even when I tried to read between the lines, I couldn’t quite suss him out. Where had he come from, what really was his game and where was he going were just a few questions I asked myself. Like his adversary, he needs information. Does she, or he for that matter, have what they’re looking for? Hmm…problem is neither of them can afford to mix business with pleasure since the last thing they need are distractions. Both have to keep on track, keep secrets hidden. So, this track I was led down had me wondering who would come out of this deadly cat and mouse game unscathed but while I was doing this, I still found time to swoon over him!

“I think I’ve discovered a new favorite game. Teasing you about this chick is fun as hell.”

“Teasing me will get you killed.”

Written in present tense from a his and hers point of view, I can honestly say I loved Summers’ way with words. The excellent sentence, paragraph and chapter structure, character development, the storyline’s flow and faultless editing has to be mentioned. To give you some examples of how awe-inspiring her writing is; I was sniffling halfway into the read, three quarters in and I was groaning, but when I got to the end, ooh my, I simply didn’t want to put the book down. Summers holding back the most juicy part I have to commend and totally worth waiting for, although there’s a scorching hot scenario which made its appearance sooner than expected. This is without a doubt ‘a sit on the edge of your seat’ thriller…and I couldn’t have wished for more. One-click, you won’t regret it! Bravo Summers!

“I won’t let you break.”

“You must be one tough guy to stop that from happening.”

“I can be whatever you need me to be.”

Brad and Hannah, what an intriguing and complex pair. Charming Hannah is a first chance romance with a second chance feel to it. Brad has known Hannah since she moved to Cunningham Falls Montana five years or so ago and tried once before to get closer to her. Fast forward three years and that’s when things get really interesting for the Chief of Police. Hannah came to town to join the OB-GYN practice, where her best friend worked.

“I love you.” He grips my shoulders and pulls me closer to him. “I don’t want to live without you. I can’t focus on anything but you, Hannah. When I’m not with you, I’m thinking about you.”

Like many of my most enjoyable reads of late, this book encompasses the true meaning of family. Not necessarily who you’re related to by blood, but who you choose as family. I couldn’t write a review about this book and not mention Sadie, Brad’s white Labrador. Sadie is an ex police dog who to me is the starring role in this book. Sadie is a key character to me in this book. She supports both Brad and Hannah. And in my opinion, brings them closer together.

“Are you real?”

“Excuse me?”

“I mean, you have the sweetest dog ever, you bring me coffee, and have you seen you?”

Brad and Hannah both suffer from phobias and or irrational fears. Their chosen professions do not help with these hang-ups. Where most people may stare at them aghast at their issues, they support one another and nurture the positivity of who they really are. The balance in this being a double point of view means that the reader gets to see into the minds of both main characters.

“I just want you,” I whisper. “Because I love you too. I’ve wanted to say it for a while, but I thought it might be too soon.”

“If it’s how you feel, it’s not too soon.”

I smile and lift up to kiss him. “You’re not so bad with words, you know.”

Charming Hannah is set in the world of this author’s Big Sky series, but this book is not integral to the entire series and can be read on its own. Though I will mention that this is the first in a new trilogy, and I can clearly guess who the other two books will be taking to task. Lucky people. Several parts this book were a little slow for me; however, in my opinion this is at its foundation a good old fashioned slow burn romance, I was able to overlook the slowness and continued reading. This book reels you in like a baited hook to a fish.

‘She’s the sweetest thing I’ve seen, and her reaction to me is exactly what I imagined in my dreams.’

Brad comes from a good family and Hannah does not. This puts into play one of my most intriguing scenarios: family disorders and mental illness and the damage it causes to those dealing with it on a daily basis. To say more would be to spoil a really emotionally charged and at times calamitous read. This book balances hard issues with a good support network. Friends and or family play a huge factor for both characters. I’ve been left asking myself one question though; how is it that I’ve never read this author before?

Someone is ringing my fucking doorbell. I was at the hospital until the wee hours, I was finally in a deep, lovely sleep, and someone is ringing the bell.

All I know for sure is, this had better not be the damn door-to-door people trying to sell me a vacuum. Or a magazine. Or Jesus.

I wrap my robe around me, stumbling toward the door. I pull it open and am surprised to find an excited Sadie and a ridiculously sexy Brad standing at my door.

“Is that coffee?” I ask.

“For you,” he confirms and holds it out to me.

“Come to mama,” I mutter and take it from his hand, taking a grateful sip. Sadie brushes past my leg, into the house, and curls up on my couch.

“She’s not supposed to be on the furniture,” Brad says.

“My house, my rules,” I reply and take another sip of the one thing in this world I’m addicted to, and give him a once over from head to toe. “You look like you got about as much sleep as I did.”

“Rough night?” he asks without confirming or denying.

“Babies,” I reply with a shrug. “You?”

He just shrugs. “Are you going to ask me in?”

“Sure.” I back up and gesture him into the room. “Sorry, I was sleeping pretty good. My energy level is about equal to a sloth on Xanax.”

“I can leave and let you go back to bed.”

His eyes roam up and down my body, reminding me that I’m just in a robe and nothing else. His green eyes are hot, and every muscle in his body is tight.

Even sleep deprived, I can tell when a man is in the mood.

“You’ve brought me coffee. I’ll never kick you out when you’ve done that.”

“I’ll remember that,” he says with a chuckle.

“Besides, I have plenty of room.” I turn and walk into my bedroom, glancing behind me to see that he’s following me. He makes a hand gesture at Sadie, which I assume means stay. “We can take a nap,” I suggest.

His lips twitch, but he doesn’t say anything when he joins me next to the bed. He takes my coffee and sets both of our cups on the bedside table.

“Is that what you want, Hannah?” he murmurs and skims his fingertips down my arms.

Kristen was born and raised in a small resort town in her beloved Montana. In her mid-twenties, she decided to stretch her wings and move to the Pacific Northwest, where she made her home for more than a dozen years.

During that time, Kristen wrote many romance novels and joined organizations such as RWA and other small writing groups. She submitted many manuscripts to agents and editors alike, but was always told no. In the summer of 2012, the self-publishing scene was new and thriving, and Kristen had one goal: to publish just one book. It was something she longed to cross off of her bucket list.

Not only did she publish one book, she’s since published close to thirty titles, many of which have hit the USA Today, New York Times and Wall Street Journal Bestsellers lists. She continues to self publish, best known for her With Me In Seattle and Boudreaux series, and is also proud to work with William Morrow, a division of HarperCollins, with the Fusion Series.

One Last Time is live early on Kindle!

Reviewed by Anna Green on behalf of KFF

This is the story of Kristin and Noah and is  a contemporary standalone romance. And oh boy, what a romance this is. A feel good, light-hearted romance but with relevant and serious subject matters involving married couples.

Kristin is a stay at home mum to two kids, ten year old Finn and six year old Aubrey. Her husband Scott is emotionally abusive and their arguments always go around in vicious circles until one day after another argument, she’s had enough and they both called it quits. Forced to leave her home with the kids, luckily her friend Heather from a previous book, We Own Tonight, lets her stay at her unoccupied house. Kristin’s character is quite resilient, after all the put downs from soon to be ex-husband Scott, she finally finds her own voice and rises up to the challenge of becoming a single parent.

“If fear is the only voice I listen to, I’ll never have the life I want. The only four-letter word I want yelling in my head is hope. Hope that I can have more. Hope that love will be something I share again.”

I love it when the author creates a character that is so inspirational and empowering to women with real life problems. Kristin is clumsy, honest and so loveable that any real man who comes across her will appreciate the person she has become.

Noah is the perfect hero in this book. He has a tragic past that scarred his psyche but he is not your typical showbiz entity. He is down to earth, a total hottie without being arrogant and gives Kristin the support and love she deserves. What more can you ask for from a man? Of course he isn’t perfect, he’s got his faults but he’s almost 99% perfect though.

In this book you also get to meet up with Kristin’s other friends, Danielle, Niccole and Heather who is now with Eli. I’ve always liked this author’s style and this book is definitely one of my favourite reads this year.  A well paced narrative told in dual points of view with added drama to spice it all up, this is the perfect book to snuggle into on snow day. Highly recommended to book friends!

Before I can make a move either way, the glass door slides open and Noah walks through the threshold.

My legs start to quiver as his eyes meet mine. All I can think about is how I’d like to climb him like a tree and shake his coconuts. I thought he was hot in the photo, then he was better through the window, but up close, he’s otherworldly.

“Hi.” Noah’s throaty voice floats around me. “You must be Kristin.”

Instead of speaking, I stand here with my mouth hanging open. Some small sounds that could be words escape, but they aren’t coherent.

Kill me now.

“Noah, this is my best friend, Kristin. Who we told you about.” Heather elbows me.

“Yes. Me. Hi. Kristin. I. You. Hi.”

Smooth. Someone should video this because I’m sure it’s highly entertaining.

“Right.” Noah flashes a blinding smile. “I hear you’re a reporter?”

Okay, Kristin, you have to speak in more than one-word increments or grunting noises.

I grab Heather’s glass she just poured and hope it’ll act as a talisman. “Yes, for a small blog, but I’m that. A reporter. For a blog. I write.”

And a bumbling idiot.

Noah’s green eyes are filled with humor. He moves a little closer and places his hand on top of mine. “Eli filled me in a little. I’m happy I came.”

I’m pretty sure I just came. At least we’re all coming.

“Me, too.”

His lips turn up as his eyes rake my body. “See you out there.” He winks and walks back out.

My ovaries have officially disintegrated.

I turn back to Heather, who bursts out into a fit of laughter. “Oh, that was epic. You all said I was starstruck when I met Eli? You should’ve seen that!” Heather continues to laugh at my expense. “Yes. Me. Um. Blog. Er—” She mocks.

“Shut up.” I laugh—because, really, what else can I do—and bump her hip before moving around the bar and grabbing a glass. “Now, pour me a shot before I drink straight from the bottle.”

There’s only one way to get through tonight.
