The Mount Trilogy concludes with Sinful Empire!
What’s mine, I keep, and that includes Keira Kilgore.
It’s no longer enough to have her in my debt. No longer enough to own her body.
I want something more.
She can try to resist, but I’ll never give her up.
Nothing will keep us apart.
Not her. Not my enemies. No one.
Her debt will only be paid one way—with her heart.
Sinful Empire is the third and final book in the Mount Trilogy.

March has nipped the end of Anti-Heroes Collection in the bud! Her narrative skills went all out with a big bang, (pun unintended!), and to expect anything less from her didn’t even cross my mind. Why? Because Ruthless King #1 and Defiant Queen #2 had me engrossed to such an extent that I couldn’t possibly have doubted her penmanship which has grown in leaps and bounds. Book two’s ending affected me so much that when Sinful Empire hit my Kindle, I found myself tentatively turning the first few pages. What I read was not at all what I expected, therefore from there on in, I knew putting it down wasn’t going to be an option. I suggest you don’t do what I did and start it at daft o’clock. Sleep deprivation might just be on the cards but what the heck, it’s totally worth it! The title couldn’t be more fitting, either. Sinfully titillating, angsty and fast-paced, our anti-hero has no boundaries. He breaks the rules without remorse, makes them on his own accord and got this reader into a real state. No-one goes against him. Except what he’d never ever thought possible, happened!
Lachlan’s mysterious past unravels in flashbacks, showing how events compelled him to be as he is. It wasn’t until I was well into the book that I discovered another of his facets, helping me understand all the whys and wherefores. There’s no disputing that he’s unrelenting in business, but in affairs of the heart this man not only surprised me, but also himself. It was a joy to read how he’d gone to so many lengths to protect the woman who managed to make him see that what he’d done was for valid reasons. Ahh, but repercussions there are adding of course, to nail biting anxiety. Don’t get me wrong. He’s still terrifically terrifying and manipulating but in this read, his lack of moral virtues were lessened by positive traits he didn’t know he had in him.
I quite honestly think Keira had no chance. All said and done, how could one possibly fight an attraction as strong as theirs! Believe you me, these two hotten up even the coldest of nights! Both her and Lachlan learn to chose their battles, their banter nothing less than outstanding is extremely well-thought-out and had me smiling from ear to ear…most of the time lol! Their relationship isn’t without it’s ups and downs, and taking into consideration that both of them are stepping into a completely new territory, finding their footing and making sacrifices, is actually what this reader enjoyed most.
Keira’s strength sold me! Frivolities don’t exist in her book. She wants what she wants and goes for it without any compunction. Time and circumstances are elementary. Will it break-or-make her? It certainly put everything into perspective for me. Backlashes horrendously harsh made me cry out aloud. And I can’t say anymore without spoiling this tremendous read for you..
This love story is against all odds. It drew me in, it mesmerised me, it took me by storm. March’s writing in present tense from both characters’ points of view is not an easy feat to pull off. The inner-dialogue is also crucial since the reader has the chance to delve into the protagonist’s’ thoughts but… March’s narrative skills were hands down. She did it! She cracked it and all I can say is simply BRAVO!
I have no idea if I can do a PS on a review! Why I am mentioning this is because my highlighted quotes were rife, but…and this is the big BUT…I have decided not to add them to this review. I want all you future readers to enjoy this read as much as I did without being influenced by them. Read it, make your own minds up and enjoy!
