Get ready to fall in love all over again—with self-discovery, handsome cowboys, and the unbreakable bonds of female friendship.

After losing her dream job in Austin, Savannah Dondi has to do the unthinkable—move back to her small hometown. Living minutes from her parents and working in her aunt’s beauty parlor isn’t exactly the glamorous life she had planned.
When she sees Hudson McAllister at the local rodeo, he’s even better than she remembered. Tall, lean, and clinging to a bucking horse. She only wishes she’d held onto him so tightly.

Her misguided feelings for Rhett Lane had ruined it then, and if she doesn’t stop herself from falling back in love with Rhett, he’ll come between her and Hudson this time too. Avoiding him in a small town will be hard, though. Especially since their best friends are in love.

A second chance with Hudson would make all her troubles worth it, but resisting Rhett might be more than Savannah bargained for.

What a breath of fresh air! My first book by this author, I was pleasantly surprised because I actually enjoyed reading this sweet NA romance. It feels like it’s been ages since I read one. There are no explicit sex scenes in this book and some characters have a come-to-Jesus moment the reason why I find this book refreshing and a welcome break from most books I’ve read recently.

Written in first person narrative, the story revolves around twenty two year old Savannah, a hairdresser who dreamt of a successful career in the big city but failed. She has no choice but to pack her bags and go back to her hometown, not looking forward to meeting the two men in her past, Hudson and Rhett. This is a love triangle involving two hot cowboys and a somewhat confused and indecisive young lady. There are times when I felt so frustrated with Savannah’s actions and the decisions she makes in life. Her best friend Cas always has her back though but when Cas’ life goes on a different direction from hers their friendship takes a nosedive. Oh to be young and not think of the consequences and feeling invincible. At first I was rooting for her to get back with Hudson but then there is also Rhett who she was involved with in the past.  I do feel for Savannah and her pain, I really do but girl, you need to put your big girl pants on and face the music.

I like the author’s writing style and the way her characters develop throughout the story. Her words perfectly portray the recklessness and vulnerability of youth, their imperfections and growth. And the author is quite brave in making one of her characters a devout Catholic because in these times when an author’s work implies a hint of spirituality it puts off a lot of romance loving readers. In fact throughout the whole book the author is quite consistent in her style without being too pushy about the subject, and I admire her for that. Hats off to you, Ms. Stelting!

If you are into love triangles, sexy cowboys and don’t mind the lack of torrid sex scenes, then I recommend you give this book a try. It’s worth a read!
