Filming for my latest blockbuster takes place on the coast of Maine and I’m determined to stay out of trouble. But trouble finds me when I run into Lana Kelly.

Ego shredded, I know I should keep my distance, but when I realize she’s my neighbor I know I’m toast. There’s no way I can resist temptation when it’s ten yards away.
She has a mouth designed for pleasure and legs that will wrap perfectly around my waist.
She’s movie star beautiful and her body is made to be mine.
Getting Lana Kelly into my bed is harder than I’m used to. She’s not interested in the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, but I’m determined to convince her the best place in the world is on the red carpet, holding my hand.
I could have any woman in the world, but all I want is the girl next door.
A sexy, standalone romance.

Matt Easton is a Hollywood superstar who needs to stop his playboy ways to sustain and further his career. He has his advisors keeping him in line and even a fake relationship to boot. Matt is filming his next movie and instead of staying close to the film crew and actors, he stays at the sleepy seaside resort Worthington in Maine where he rents a cottage. Matt intends on staying focused until a pretty little whirlwind rushes past him to peek his interest.
I really liked Lana Kelly. She’s a sweet tough cookie who works very hard with her shop and jewellery making. Noticing a stranger, she runs past giving her opinion, making Matt look stupid. Worthington Maine is where she feels safe from the big wide world. She soon discovers she’s rented out the cottage next door to the guy she gave an earful to, that Matt is the new temporary tenant. I loved the contrast. Lana isn’t interested in glitz and glamour she opts for the quiet anonymity of her life.
Matt and Lana get to know one another and they have a very strong connection, but their lives are worlds apart. The chemistry and companionship between the two heats up and they feel completely enthralled with each other; however, Matt going back to LA and his famous lifestyle is ever looming.
Lana has an inner battle with wanting to continue to see Matt but the very public life horrifies her. She’s had a bad experience in college which forced her to run back to Worthington to escape the fallout. We got glimpses of Lana’s friend, Ruby, who I found to be a very strong friend to her. I was thankful for her input as sometimes I wanted to slap Lana and make her see some sense. Although I did get where she was coming from, roll on Matt Easton! How could this hot man be turned down!
This a standalone and very different to what Ms Bay has offered in the past. The physical connection was off the charts steamy, and one had to fan themselves on a couple of occasions. The secondary characters were very amusing if somewhat eccentric and that gave the story a very light feel to it. I actually felt like I wanted to visit Worthington myself for a little holiday retreat just to see if all those people in the story live there. Great storyline, characters and yet again, another swoon worthy leading man. A beautiful love story worthy of five stars with believable characters and keeps you thinking after.
About the Author:
