I’m Alabama’s star wide receiver. I’ve got mad skills on and
off the field, and it’s no secret I’m heading into the draft after the upcoming
season. But I’m home for the summer to make some cash before my senior year.
Being back under my parents’ roof isn’t the ideal situation, but the moment I
see Marin, the star of my adolescent fantasies, I know it’s about to get
interesting. She may not have noticed me back then, but I’ve got a feeling it’s
just a matter of time before she lets me turn those fantasies into reality.

The last time I saw Trace Forester he was just a kid tearing
up the neighborhood on his skateboard. That was when I was foolish enough to
think I had the perfect husband and the perfect life. But now my life is in
shambles and Trace is back, all grown up, hot as hell, and exuding major
confidence. It would be so easy to fall for his good looks and undeniable
charm. So easy to let him into my life. Too bad I learned the hard way that
nothing worth having ever comes easy.

“You sleep with him yet?” Gayle asked.
“Oh my god. What is wrong with you?”
“Me? Have you seen the guy?”
Outside, Trace tossed the football gently so CJ had a slight
chance of actually catching it. He didn’t. It bounced off the grass in front of
him, but he ran after it, laughing as he did. “Yes, I’ve seen the teenager in
my backyard.”
“He’s not a teenager.”
“Yes, he is. I looked it up. He’s nineteen.”
There was a pause on her end, like she just realized I was a
sicko who’d actually looked him up. “Who cares? You’re single and he’s hot.
Have you seen him in his uniform? The guy could be a freakin’ underwear model.”
I laughed as I turned from the window and moved into the
living room. “No. At least not in person.” I’d seen pictures on the internet.
“Girl. When are you ever gonna have a hot piece of ass under
your roof again?” Gayle asked.
I scoffed. “You’re acting like he sees me as anything other
than a soon-to-be-divorced woman with a kid who needs a guy around.”
“Marin, you’re beautiful and fun. You deserve to get some
“You do realize you’re encouraging me to jump his bones,
“I never said jump his bones. Just wear something tight.
Bend over and let him see your hot ass. You’d barely have to do anything.”
“You’re insane.” I laughed. “And I could go to jail.”
“Why could you go to jail?” Trace asked from behind me.
I spun around, my eyes bugging out of my head and my heart
drumming in my chest. Trace stood in the doorway smirking at me, like he’d
heard my conversation.
Had he?

I didn’t quite know what to expect from this book as K.L. Grayson was a new author to me. But I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised and then some.

Newly arrived back in Chicago had come looking for answers to a mystery that is locked up tight inside her head.

After losing her parents and sister Cami at a young age, the effect it has had on her life makes this story so heart wrenching to read. She had been told that she was a witness to the death of her father and sister but the trauma this caused meant that she had no recollection of it happening. The only thing that made her aware of what had happened was the re-occurring nightmares that she suffered from at night .

Rex Ambrosi.

Tall, dark and handsome just what every girl dreams of. He knows exactly what he wants and goes after it. One look at Shae and he wanted her and nothing and no one was going to stop him. He has secrets, but doesn’t everyone? Will he reveal them to Shae or will she find out for herself?Secrets have a nasty was of revealing themselves. I fear that this was what was going to happen to Rex if he didn’t tell her himself.

Unbeknownst to either of them, the secrets that Shae wanted answers to, will ultimately bind them together in more ways than one. Feelings developed between them both that neither one could control or deny and their coming together was explosive. The pages sizzled as did Shea and Rex.

The twists and turns in this book leave you totally enthralled. Shae wasn’t the only one that wanted answers, so did I! And as you can imagine, so will you. I highly recommend reading this book. The story flowed well and both characters were what I call ballsy and I do love that in a female character. She was one tough cookie and they were a perfect love match. Secrets will be revealed and your questions will be of course answered.

On that note I would like to offer my congratulations to K.L. Grayson for a well written and interesting story. Totally deserving of the 5 stars. I look forward to reading more of your work.

“So, Shae, tell me a little about yourself.”

“Really? You want to talk?”

I chuckle. “You sound surprised.”

“Because I am.”

“What’s wrong with getting to know the woman I’m about to fuck?”

“Are there things about me you’re dying to know?”

You have no fucking idea. “As a matter of fact, there are.”

She studies me for a moment and tips her glass, finishing off what’s left of her wine. She sets it on the counter, strides across the kitchen, and opens the curtains, revealing a breathtaking view of the Chicago skyline.

With her back to me, she takes a deep breath and when she exhales she says, “Let’s have it.”

In one gulp, I finish off my wine and set the glass next to hers. I slowly walk across the room, enjoying the view in front of me as I do.

And I’m not talking about the skyline. The dips and valleys of Chicago’s cityscape may be impressive, but they have nothing on Shae’s soft curves.

Her skirt is a little rumpled, her blouse untucked, and her long, dark hair falls in waves around her shoulders. Her body draws mine like a magnet, and when I step into her, pressing my chest against her back, she doesn’t move. There is no gasp of surprise, no stiffening spine, she’s just here in this moment with me.

“Let’s start with your favorite color.”

“Purple.” Her voice is shaky, and when I run my finger down the back of her neck, she tilts her head, allowing room for my lips to graze the silky smooth skin.

“Favorite food.”

“Great choice.” I kiss a path along her shoulder. A shiver runs through her, and I smile against her skin. “Favorite sport.”

“Mine too. Favorite team?”

“C-Cardinals.” I nip at her soft skin, and Shae sucks in a breath. “What was that for?”

“I’m a Cubs fan.”

“That’s okay; I forgive you.”

I nip her again, run my tongue along the side of her neck, and blow lightly. Goosebumps race across the creamy skin.

“You’re so responsive, Shae. I can’t wait to see what else I can get your body to do.”

She takes a shuddery breath, and I can tell by the flutter of her pulse against my lips that my words excite her.

“What did Erin mean when she said you hadn’t been with a man in quite some time?” She doesn’t immediately respond, so I turn her in my arms.

Her cheeks turn the prettiest shade of pink as she looks at the floor. “You caught that, huh?”

“It’s pretty much all I’ve been thinking about.”

She looks up. “Really? Why?”

Fuck if I know. Maybe because I like you and the thought of other men touching you makes me want to strangle someone. But telling her that now probably isn’t the smartest idea, so I just shrug.

“Don’t know. Just curious is all.” Shae still doesn’t answer, and I can feel the air around us growing thick. “How many men have you been with?”

Her eyes grow as wide as saucers. “I don’t see how that’s any of your business.”

“It’s not. But I want it to be.”

Glancing down, she fiddles with the hem of her blouse. “Not many.”

“How many is not many?”

She tries to look away, but I don’t let her, so she opts to fold her arms over her chest. A universal defense mechanism. She thinks she’s shielding herself, but all she’s doing is fluffing her tits, putting all of that smooth, silky skin on full display. “I’m not a virgin, if that’s what you’re wondering.”

“I never questioned whether you’re a virgin.”

“Good, because I’m not,” she says firmly, and then her voice trails off. “I’m just not that experienced.”

“How inexperienced?”

Finally frustrated, she throws her arms out to the side. “Why does it matter?”

Running my hand up the back of her head, I thread my fingers through the silky strands of her hair. Something I’ve wanted to do since the moment I laid eyes on her. Gripping it tight, I tug and her head dips back. She looks up at me, her eyes smoldering, and I wonder what else she’d let me do.

“Because I want to fuck you, and I’m not a gentle man, Shae.”

Sucking her bottom lip between her teeth, she bites gently as I wait for her to respond. Something…anything would be good. Then she looks at my mouth, and what happens next isn’t at all what I’m expecting.

“We should probably kiss first.” She smiles coyly, and I do the only thing I can do.

I kiss her.

I was intrigued by the cover and the title of the book from the start and looked forward to finding who was going to fall for Loverboy and who he was. The story starts with an online dating scenario, and two young people who sign up at the same time. They hit it off straight away and chat for a good few weeks. Loverboy wants to get together with Sunshine and although she feels overwhelmingly drawn to him, she was somewhat reluctant.

Sunshine makes her way to meet Loverboy. He’s running slightly late and races to the date with her. The attraction is instant even in the flesh and not just hidden behind the keyboard. The turn of events is a game changer, and I couldn’t wait to find out where the two were going to lead me to. I never expected their date to turn out the way it does so to find out what happens, you’ll have read it.

Sunshine feels safe with Loverboy and soon put in his charge where he takes her back to his hotel. Loverboy’s actual name is Brax McBride. He’s a hot, successful businessman and I was instantly drawn to him. Usually into one off flings, there was something about the way he was with Sunshine that reeled you in to learn more about him. Sunshine’s real name is Poppy Hamilton and although she comes across as a sassy intelligent woman, there is something from her past that makes her vulnerable.

“Let’s just enjoy our time together. All we ever have is the moment we are in. The past is done and the future has not yet been written.”

“Wise words to live by.”

The chemistry between Brax and Poppy is really strong, and the banter is almost as if they’ve known each other for longer than the story tells. You’d think it’s about two people who are so compatible, a run of the mill boy meets girl kind of story. However, it’s full of twists and turns that will surprise the reader. Fate certainly has a way of tricking people and things happen for a reason.

I really enjoyed this story. It has a good romantic feel to it with the protagonist’s intensity that makes it a great feel good story. The author certainly can write romance with likeable characters. I liked the side characters and I look forward to seeing more of Bentley, who is Brax’s older brother and Poppy’s best friend, Maddox. I’m hoping to see a glimpse of Brax and Poppy in the future and would love to see how they are getting on in their lives. Ms kay has managed to develop characters that you can easily invest your time with because they’re like real people. I highly recommend Falling for Loverboy if you want an easy read with a twist and not too much angst… just the right amount for a book that is centred mainly on the romance.

Wow! I’m not sure where to start with Tied in all honesty, I guess if you haven’t read Torn, the first of The Devil Wolves book then you really should. It’s not imperative that you do in order to understand Tied, as both can be read as standalones, but Torn is so good you’d be doing yourself a disservice by skipping it. Tied left me wondering how on earth this author was going to manage to write a story about the “savage” in the woods.

“We’re kinda made of the same ripped-up cloth.”

And that is the essence of Tied – two absolutely messed up people meeting in the middle and finding their own way. This book is less to do with The Devil Wolves MC and concentrates on Holly and Tyler. One hides, and one was hidden. Watching both come together and building something is quite a wonder.

On first meeting Holly; it’s unpleasant. She’s an 18-year-old child who is dragged from a hole in the woods. I use the word child in the most literal of senses. Carian Cole wrote Holly beautifully, portraying a young woman who saw the world through the eyes of a child. The writing was perfect, hauntingly sad in all the right places, emotion simply pouring and weaving throughout most of the book. I felt Holly’s journey from start to finish. Many authors build on the emotion and then pummel the reader hard and fast, all at once. Tied isn’t like that, it comes at you from all angles, sometimes with surprise and sometimes not. It’s a constant drip feed of intensity and sadness interspersed with some beautiful moments. Yet the story written doesn’t smother or drown the reader, it propels…the emotion finely balanced.

“She’s like the star on top of the Christmas tree – that final glittering touch that brings it all together.”

Both Holly and Tyler tell their stories yet somehow Tyler becomes and remains the most instrumental character throughout the whole book. He tells a lot of Holly’s tale, which I found quite surprising, but immensely clever. I loved the way Carian Cole wrote this and how she gets under your skin for most of the book. And just when you think you’ve read the worst…well, you haven’t. Tied is not graphically detailed however I don’t think it needed to be. You can piece together both histories without the grit and gore that obviously happened, to have written so descriptively of those scenes would have sullied the beauty of Holly and Tyler, it didn’t belong in Tied.

A convoluted fairy tale style of story is the base of Tied, a little Beauty and the Beast. I didn’t feel like I was reading a re-cap of an old fairy tale though no matter how many connotations there were. Some delicious and unseen twists often stopped me in my tracks, supporting characters played their part well however difficult or mean they seemed. Everyone had a reason. Both Holly and Tyler were easy to fall in love with too. Holly should have been a snivelling mess due to her ordeal and Tyler should have been meaner in retrospect. Neither gave me cause to dislike them, both strong characters, very appealing.

“We have so many f’ed-up gray areas between us we’re practically a black and white movie.”

My only “gripe” about this whole book is the ending. Being the practical person I am I found it a tad ridiculous, a little too much but you know what – it was perfect for them and for that I can’t really grumble about it so I’m not going to. Highly recommended, I can’t punt this author enough. Every time she writes something she bowls me over, sweeps me off my feet. Personally, Tied has surpassed Torn for me, a stellar five star read that you’d be a fool to miss. Keep your eyes peeled for Boomer, the little guy is something else!

Never make a promise you don’t intend to keep…

>Mona Lisa St. James made a deathbed promise that she would do anything to save her mother’s art gallery. Unfortunately, not only is The Red painted red, but it’s in the red.

Just as she realizes she has no choice but to sell it, a mysterious man comes in after closing time and makes her an offer: He will save The Red if she agrees to submit to him for the period of one year.

The man is handsome, English, and terribly tempting…but surely her mother didn’t mean for Mona to sell herself to a stranger. Then again, she did promise to do anything to save The Red…

The Red is a standalone novel of erotic fantasy from Tiffany Reisz, international bestselling author of The Bourbon Thief and the Original Sinners series.

Reviewed by Sharon Thérèse

In all my years, I have never read a story quite like this one. Firstly, I went in blind which in hindsight, wasn’t such a good idea–or was it? My shock was as such that I couldn’t believe my eyes! Me, who doesn’t do fantasy or paranormal, was reading just that and had nothing to compare it with. Actually, since I don’t think this standalone is comparable with any other, I didn’t know whether to carry on or DNF. But my curiosity won hands down and once I got into it, there was no stopping me. It’s neither too long nor too short and the well-balanced chapters are distinguishable scenarios. Actually, little imagination is needed for one to get the impression that they’re watching a theatrical play, the chapters being acts.

“It’s me darling,” “It’s only me.”

The internal monologue controls the pace of the story which covers a timespan of just over a year, although I did feel a tad more dialogue wouldn’t have gone amiss. I’m a real sucker for banter and perhaps in all my eagerness, I skim read a few pages. Despite being an intensely erotic read which at times pushed me out of my comfort zone, I have to admit that the sex scenes were probably the hottest I’ve ever read. Except for two that I found extreme in their detail and so over the top, I felt uncomfortable with them.

“If you were for sale I would pawn my soul to buy you,” “I would buy you and keep you chained to my bed…”

It always worries me when authors are overly descriptive with their characters’ actions and surroundings in a story. More often than not, scenes read heavily and I quickly lose interest. But this was not the case because what Ms Reisz created, I loved. Her writing style has a poetic touch to it; the vocabulary–picturesque and she’s given the book a ‘romanticism’ feel to it. Therefore the scenery is easy to imagine, especially if you’re a lover of fine art. Fantastical erotism is woven into a plot set in The Red, an art gallery in dire straits. I really liked the heroine, Mona Lisa St. James. Yes, her name is a tad peculiar but her deceased mother was a passionate woman who had a great love for anything arty. Mona’s inherited her mother’s open-mindedness and is often in her thoughts. Clearly, this was one of the reasons she was mentioned so much in the book. Another one caught me off balance towards the end; a twist of sorts that I never expected, leaving me grinning from ear to ear.

“You’re staring at my boots, love. Tell me why,”

“I like them.”

“I’m very glad you do…”

In love or in lust. Is it possible to confuse these emotions because I thought the female protagonist mistook the first by being blindsided by the second? Surely, there’s a limit to what one would do for another regardless of the sizzling hot chemistry between two lovers. In this story, boundaries simply don’t exist for Mona and they certainly do not for the player, the devilishly charming Earl of Godwick, Malcolm Arthur Augustus Fitzroy. He’s not only the perfect English gentleman, but will make sure their sexual games are consensual. He’s also to become her saviour in a way I would never have guessed in an extremely well-thought-out plan. What I was really taken with was how different they are. Both have art in common but that’s as far as it goes. Malcolm is secretive whereas Mona is an open book.

“You saw what I wanted you to see,” “The oldest magician’s trick.”

“Is this a trick too?”

“Oh no, this is real. This is the only thing that’s real to me,”

Raw emotions abound. Occasionally failing to differentiate between reality and fantasy, her submission to the mysterious Malcolm steadily grows until her need for him and his sexual fantasies verge on obsession. She’s never demeaned and always respected even in the most complex moments so in this respect, it’s easier on the reader. But pleased be warned: this is a very, but very naughty read with a gorgeous twist just in the right place. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Red and for fans of this author’s flamboyantly sensual writing, I can see you all lapping up this read. By the way, I adored Tou-Tou! Bravo Ms Reisz!

“I warned you I like to play games,” “I warned you that next time, you would hate me.”

“I do hate you.”

“It’ll pass.” “It always does.”

Dear Bridget,

I’m writing this letter because it’s highly doubtful I’ll ever garner the courage to say this to your face.

So, here goes.

We’re totally wrong for each other. You’re the proper single mum with a good head on your shoulders. I’m just the carefree British doctor passing through town and temporarily living in your converted garage until I head back to England.

But here’s the thing… for some bloody reason, I can’t stop thinking about you in very inappropriate ways.

I want you.

The only reason I’m even admitting all of this to you right now is because I don’t believe it’s one-sided. I notice your eyes when you look at me, too. And as crass as I appear when we’re joking around about sex, my attraction to you is not a joke.

So, what’s the purpose of this note? I guess it’s a reminder that we’re adults, that sex is healthy and natural, and that you can find me just through the door past the kitchen. More specifically, it’s to let you know that I’m leaving said door cracked open from now on in case you’d like to visit me in the middle of the night sometime.

No questions asked.

Think about it.

Or don’t.

Whatever you choose.

It’s doubtful I’ll even end up sliding this letter under your door anyway.

To celebrate the relaunch of this top-rated series, the all new boxed set will be ON SALE for only 99¢ for a very LIMITED-TIME on 6/26!

Sometimes the one you never got over is just a friend request away …

There were no cell phones or internet or google when she left me and I never knew why she walked away from our relationship.

I loved her, like head-over-heels crazy loved her.

And when she walked out on me at the end of our freshman year, without even a goodbye, she broke my heart.

So, I got a surprise gift the other night at my birthday party, an old college friend casually mentioned he saw her on Facebook.

Best present I’ve received in over twenty years.

Now, I’m finally going to get my answer.

She owes me an explanation at to why she left …

Damn, I loved her.

I was having such a crappy morning at work and then his email arrived.

It was a friend request and to say I was shocked would be an understatement.

A lifetime had passed since we’d last been in contact.

But just seeing his name on my computer screen,

made me react in a way I thought I was no longer capable of,

you see, I had never gotten over loving him,

even though he betrayed me.

And so begins the saga of Schooner Moore and Mia Silver, lovers separated after their first year of college and not reunited again for over twenty years. But two decades was not long enough for their flame to be extinguished and reuniting could cost them everything.
