Getting close to an arrogant bad boy like him is dangerous. Too bad it’s her only choice.

Kain Badd looks great on paper: rich, handsome, and he’s even a prince. But after spending a few minutes together, Sammy sees the real him—arrogant, possessive, and too hot for his own good. If she hadn’t agreed to help plan his sister’s wedding, she could have avoided him. Instead, she’s waking up in his bed after an unforgettable night she definitely wants to forget. But he won’t let her.

When Sammy thinks her life can’t get any crazier, the wedding is raided by the police, and she spends her first-ever night in jail. The irresistible Kain isn’t just bad in name—his family is connected to a dangerous underworld. Now she’s mixed up in a power struggle between his family’s empire and their rivals. She has no choice but to put herself back in this filthy prince’s extremely capable hands.

Sammy must trust Kain to keep her safe. She’s just not sure she can trust herself to resist temptation.

Excerpt:

“Did you move in or something?”

He’d snuck up on me, his arms folded over his gray jacket. He looked oddly clean and crisp in such fancy clothes. In one hand, he held two champagne flutes.

We were alone in the kitchen. That fact sat heavy in my belly.

Gripping the counter behind me, I said, “Your sister needed the help.”

“Careful.” He stepped closer, his eyes never straying from my face. “Once you start with her, she’ll never stop asking you to do things.”

Helplessly, I measured the distance between us. I was trapped in my corner; he’d corralled me so easily. “I like helping people.”

“I have something you could help with. Something pretty big.”

Flushing, I bounced my attention down to his zipper. I didn’t mean to, it was as if his gritty voice had taken hold of my neck and guided me down.

And his smile said he’d seen me do it.

I cleared my throat. “You’re a big boy, you can help yourself.”

“Oh, I do. And I will.” His foot came down, the shiny shoe transfixing me the closer he got. “I’ll jerk this cock off to thoughts of you, sweetheart. Especially to the memory of how you felt in my arms earlier.”

My muscles were useless. All I could do was squeeze the counter harder. “Fine. Go do that.”

“Tch.” His chuckle caressed between my legs. “You can pretend all you want, but I know I got to you, too. That’s why you’ve been avoiding me all day.”

“I was busy with your sister,” I argued.

“And after that?”

“I was planning to go home.”

“But you didn’t.”

His lips were only a foot away. How had he gotten into my personal space so smoothly? When I spoke, it was a whisper. “I was just about to, you interrupted me.”

“Let’s get some honesty going.” His arm came forward. I flinched, expecting him to touch me—he put one of the glasses next to me on the counter. “You want me. I can tell how badly you want me. And you also want nothing to do with me.”

“That last part is definitely true.”

Grinning, he bent against the counter. “You’re not looking for some long-term baby-making plans with me, right?” Fuck, I was so red. “You want to never see me again? Fine.” His low tone flooded my ears, making me dizzy. “Get me out of your system. Fuck me, sweet thing. Fuck me and forget me.”

Cupping my chin, he leaned his weight into me. I bent, I crumbled, and I let my facade crack. Kain was too tempting. I wanted to know how his smirk would feel on me, how his quick tongue would taste.

He was right. I wanted him.

Kain stared me down. I kept wondering when he was going to kiss me.

Stepping back, he nudged the champagne into my hand. On impulse, I took it. “Drink,” he explained, “Then come find me in the garden.” There was nothing else to be said, apparently, because he walked out of sight.

Sliding down to the floor, I hugged the glass. He’d left me a total mess and he’d barely touched me.

Staring into the golden drink, I watched the bubbles pop. Some floated to the top, others clung to the glass as if trying to hold off their fate.

Which was I? A fighter . . . or a bubble that wanted to be popped?

Putting the glass to my lips, I sipped.

Champagne had never tasted so much like sin.

3.5 Stars

This is the first Nora Flite book I’ve read. It’s a romantic tale with a touch of gangland dispute, a story of a damsel but not really in distress who got mixed up with a not so prince charming. This is the first book in a series.

Sammy is a wedding dress designer who used to live in New York and decided to go back to her hometown so she could keep an eye on her ailing mother trying to cope with the loss of her husband a year ago. Sammy opened a bridal shop and this is where she first met her badass eye candy, Kain who she thought was the groom-to-be. It turns out he was there to help out his twin sister who needed a wedding dress in two days, talk about a rush job! From there Sammy got sucked into the family and became the last minute stand in maid of honour/wedding planner. How can she refuse when she was promised a great load of money, the girl has bills to pay!

Meet the Badd boys: Costello, Thorne and Kain who has a twin sister named Frannie. Older sister Lulabelle is the one who walked away from her family ten years ago, you don’t get to meet her until the last quarter of the story. Maverick is the patriarch and the alpha male of the Badd clan. Kain’s character at the beginning is cocky and arrogant but throughout the rest of the book he becomes a sappy romantic who let his heart rule over his head which led to a bust up between siblings.

It was lust at first sight for the two main characters, hooking up on their second encounter, lots of steamy scenes and compromising situations. The author has also thrown in a couple of fairy tale scenarios: Sammy’s Rapunzel (with the shorter hair) moments and Sammy in Cinderella (with the pink stilettos) mode.  It’s meant to be sweet and romantic but I just got confused with the other elements tied in this book: a “royal” family involved in turf wars but they’re not nasty, more like half assed bad guys really.  The drama between the other siblings are not quite clear yet, but since this is the first of a series I am sure the follow up books will shed light and tell us more about the Badd family.  3.5 stars!

Co-Wrecker, an all new sexy, laugh out loud romantic comedy is available now!

Co-Wrecker by Meghan Quinn
Publication Date: March 23, 2017

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Photographer: Lauren Watson Perry

Synopsis:

What do ice cream and Sadie Montgomery have in common? They’re both ice cold, but one taste is never enough.

I wanted to be friends — I would have even settled for her seeing me as anything but a nerd — but there was no getting through. So just like any hard-headed, red-blooded man out there, I made up my mind.

I’d make my coworker fall for me.

I’d like to say it was simple, but like every other epic love story, all it took was one drunken night and a lot of naked courage to get the girl. For a moment, at least.

Love with a coworker is never simple, especially since Sadie’s trying to keep us on the low. Not to mention her persistent ex-boyfriend who won’t leave her alone. But I’ve never been good at giving up, and I don’t plan to start now.

The whole thing is a recipe for a rocky road, but I plan to eat the whole gallon, no matter how bad the brain freeze.

Excerpt:

Knowing I will probably regret this, I lift from the freezer, ice cream scraper in hand, and jerk toward Sadie just in time to slip on some melted ice on the floor shooting me across the fountain and straight into Sadie.

But not just Sadie; straight into her chest—her billowing, womanly chest. It’s a satisfyingly soft cushion for my head but from her instant outrage, I’m going to guess she’s not keen on me using her breasts as a pillow.

“What the hell are you doing?” she asks, trying to back away, difficult when I’ve got her pinned against the counter.

Fumbling to get some kind of grasp on my falling body, scraper still in hand, I give her a bit of motor boat—not on purpose—and muffle in her breasts, “I’m sowwy.”

“Get off me.”

“I’m twying,” I say, finally getting a grip on the counter behind her and standing tall. Glasses askew, hat on the floor, and a smothered feeling on my face, I straighten my apron and clear my throat. “My apologies.” Her friend is laughing, hand on her stomach, as I push my glasses back on my nose. “Although, I’m grateful for your sturdy bosom for catching my fall. It might have been a twisty straw to the eye, and I’m not sure my glasses would have held up on such an impact.”

Sturdy bosom? Shit, Andrew, don’t fucking say words like bosom. And for the love of God, don’t say a woman has a STURDY bosom. Say words like tits. Tits are more manly.

“Tits,” I mutter.

“Excuse me?” Sadie has the look of horror on her face.

Fuck, did I say that out loud?

“I think he said tits, Sadie,” her friend cuts in, thumbing through the straw holder. Yup, I said tits out loud.

“I heard him, Smills,” Sadie mutters under her breath.

Glaring at me, looking for an answer, I shrug my shoulders, because I have nothing. No way of digging myself out of this one. Funny how your brain can literally stop working the minute you need it the most. Come on, old fella, kick it into high gear. Come up with something witty, something snarky, something that will put a Band-Aid over this rather raw and embarrassing incident.

But, good fuck. I just had my face in her chest. What man could come back quickly from that?

“Well . . .” Sadie has her arms crossed over her bosom, waiting for an answer. No. Her arms are crossed over her breasts. Shit. Shit.

Nerves crawl up the back of my neck, igniting my ears into lava levels of heat. Crap. Just say anything.

Clearing my throat, I pat her shoulder and say, “Sturdy tits.”

And here I thought it couldn’t get any worse, at least my hand didn’t pat down her breast to see if her nipples were made of steel, or to see if her areolas consist of chain-link mesh. You have to look at the positive.

This is the second book I have read by author Meghan Quinn. Co-Wrecker is the fun, light-hearted story of Andrew and Sadie.

Andrew has just transferred to Binghamton University to get away from his “ordeal” at his previous university. He is the witty, hot looking nerd and he is funny too. To keep himself busy and earn some money before school starts he decided to get a job at “Friendly’s” as a fountain boy and this is where he meets Sadie, his co-worker. Sadie’s character is quite moody and a bit standoffish. She has a close group of friends who we get to meet later in the story.

I like the author’s style of writing. Reading Andrew and Sadie’s banter throughout the whole book made me laugh, snort and giggle at some parts. Their first encounter especially reminds me of a Mr. Bean moment and ends up with Andrew giving Sadie the nickname Sturdy Tits.

All through the first half of the book we can see Sadie’s slowly thawing icy demeanour towards Andrew. How can she not fall for this cute nerd who looks like Ryan Reynolds with a mind like Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory and apparently is also well endowed. He is all that and more!

Not everything is hunky dory for our heroine, Sadie. Her being aloof and closed-in stems from a sad childhood and a recent tragic event which leads her into keeping a lot of secrets from her friends and family. Her ex-boyfriend Tucker is part of her close circle of friends and he still carries a torch for her albeit one that Sadie is dying to extinguish when she gets involved with Andrew.

But when the basis of a new relationship is founded in lies, will it last or will it crumble? She needs to fess up fast or she might lose him. Is she brave enough to tell him the whole sad story? She needs to pull up her big girl pants or there will be no more walking-like-a-duck-the-morning-after courtesy of Mr. Cannon Cock.

Fluctuating body temperatures, that’s what you get when you read Andrew and Sadie’s story. Ice cream sundaes, steamy sex scenes and a funny love story. The first can give you brain freeze, the second makes you hot and bothered and the last will warm your heart.

I would have gladly given this story five stars but that darn childhood tale of the fat dog (I won’t go into details why) makes this a four star read from me.

About the Author:

A BLONDE AT HEART

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.

Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!

RELEASE BLITZ – Tempt The Boss by Natasha Madison

Lauren
Going back to work was supposed to be a painless transition, but when my new boss turns out to be an arrogant, cocky jerk, he quickly turns my professional life into a world of torture. Okay, fine, calling him an asshat before knowing he was my boss wasn’t my finest moment. Hating him should be easy. I just never counted on him being so gorgeous or charming when he’s not annoying me.

Austin
I expected my new assistant to be professional and punctual, but all I’m getting are dirty looks and rude comments. I should fire the little hellion, but instead all I can think about is bending her over my desk and breaking every rule I’ve ever made for myself.

One look. One touch. One night. If we break the rules, our lives will never be the same again.

Good thing rules were made to be broken. And besides, it feels so good to Tempt the Boss.

This was a new author for me and what had drawn me to this book was the title and the blurb. I have to admit that at the beginning of this book I felt like I was watching a Hallmark film. The storyline was one of those that was predictable. But and that’s a big but, the author completely turned it around on me. Tempt the Boss primarily revolves around two main protagonists Lauren and Austin and the journey they are about to embark on together.

Lauren, mum of two thought she had it all. Two beautiful children and a loving husband. A loving husband who liked to also share his love with another woman. As you can imagine what happened next was the foundation of this story.  Lauren picks herself up, dusts herself off and decides to get on with her life, hence her new temp job.

Austin, happy go lucky bachelor, charming and the most sought after commercial contract developer in the city. The only problem he seemed to have was keeping hold of his temps who seems to come and go like a never ending revolving door. Let’s just say when these two met it was like the 4th of July! Fireworks galore!

It’s hard for me not to tell you exactly what these two got up to but I can tell you I was laughing all the way. And this was the exact moment that this book changed for me. Even now as I write this review there’s a smile on my face remembering the shenanigans they both got up to. As you can imagine the road was a rocky one for them both. Would they travel on it together or go their separate ways? I’m definitely not telling you!

All I will tell you is this book gives you that feel good factor. The sex scenes burned up the pages and this book was well written and very funny.  I would certainly recommend this book to my fellow readers.

When her nose isn’t buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she’s in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It’s a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn’t listen to her…
