Title: Love Rehab
Author: Louise Bay
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release date: 5th December, 2016
Ever wanted to fast forward to your happily ever after?
My name is Mackenzie Locke and I’m a loveaholic. I haven’t got a handle on men. Not even a little bit.
So I staged an intervention and booked me and my two best friends into Love Rehab, complete with a love shaman, horse therapy and a bunch of stones that promise to change my life. I’m not leaving until I’m cured.
Lesson #1: the first night of your stay, don’t have a one night stand with the hottest guy you’ve ever seen in your life.
Lesson #2: make sure your one night stand isn’t planning on sticking around, teasing you, tempting you right back into his Levis.
Lesson #3: Whoops. I forgot this one. I was too busy daydreaming about Blake McKenna’s mouth on mine and the way his five o’clock shadow feels on my thighs.
So maybe I’m not the best student. Maybe I wasted my time and money on Love Rehab. But I can’t help that I want to spend every minute with Blake, naked under the stars. Perhaps he can teach me every lesson I ever needed to learn.
Kindle Friends Forever: Five Loveaholic Stars

I’ve read this authors work in the past and was intrigued to find out about this offering. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. I think new and old readers will be, too.
Mackenzie Locke is unlucky in love. She’s been engaged three times and each one never amounted to anything. Mackenzie declares herself a loveaholic with a life plan that she always adheres to, but could that be where she is going wrong? Maybe Mackenzie should go off plan and see what happens in life. With her two reluctant friends Kennedy and Rose, she decides to leave Boston for five days to go to Oklahoma to a love rehab retreat. This unknown adventure is about the three of them discovering themselves and what it is they want from relationships and their futures.
Brianna McKenna is the young lady that runs the rehab and it is through her we meet her brother Blake McKenna. He doesn’t live in Christie Oklahoma, Blake is just visiting his family while he thinks about a life changing opportunity concerning his occupation and location as he is a biochemist. There’s an instant attraction between Blake and McKenna and she wonders if she is wasting her money on the retreat as she can’t seem to help being drawn to another guy.
“I needed a cure. I needed my plan back on track. I needed love rehab.”
When the two of them meet, they embark on a night under the stars. My god these two certainly were a very hot combination. They don’t let on to anyone as Mackenzie is supposed to be there to find herself not embark on another romance.
The characters created are all very likeable; especially the three friends. They all seemed to understand one another better than they knew themselves. They were quite the amusing bunch. Blake is a real sweetheart and I quickly warmed to him but mighty, was he a hot! And when Blake and Mackenzie had their trysts, I thought my kindle was going to burn my hands. Steamy pair if ever I have read a couple that’s so into each other.
“Nice to meet you, Mr Uncowboy. I’m Mackenzie.”
What I liked about Love rehab is the self-discovery they all make about their lives and where they are going. Although the connection between Mackenzie and Blake have different issues, it was cleverly written to entangle them together. I think Ms Bay has definitely come out of her comfort zone in this story. I’ve not read anything like it and can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed it. I like something from the norm in my books lately from the CEOs and Rockers, MC kind of books and this certainly gives that. It was refreshing to read about a hot leading man that wasn’t in a suit and rich, having grown up on a ranch with being nerd thrown in was endearing. Kudos to the author for dipping her toes into unknown territory. It certainly paid off.
