Blurb

The first time I met Chase Parker, I didn’t exactly make a good impression.

I was hiding in the bathroom hallway of a restaurant, leaving a message for my best friend to save me from my awful date.

He overheard and told me I was a bitch, then proceeded to offer me some dating advice.

So I told him to mind his own damn business—his own tall, gorgeous, full-of-himself damn business—and went back to my miserable date.

When he walked by my table, he smirked, and I watched his arrogant, sexy ass walk back to his date.

I couldn’t help but sneak hidden glances at the condescending jerk on the other side of the room.  Of course, he caught me on more than one occasion, and winked.

When the gorgeous stranger and his equally hot date suddenly appeared at our table, I thought he was going to rat me out.

But instead, he pretended we knew each other and joined us—telling elaborate, embarrassing stores about our fake childhood.

My date suddenly went from boring to bizarrely exciting.

When it was over and we parted ways, I thought about him more than I would ever admit, even though I knew I’d never see him again.

I mean, what were the chances I’d run into him again in a city with eight million people?

Then again…

What were the chances a month later he’d wind up being my new sexy boss?

You know when you get sucked into a book and you don’t want to stop reading; you want it to go on forever and ever well-knowing the end is coming. And then when you do reach the last written word, one yearns for it to continue. A few hours or days later, the story is still there, vividly etched on your mind. This is exactly how we felt about this read. Never were we prepared to have such a thumping book hangover either. Both of us are huge fans of Vi’s writing. Of late, she’s entertained us with some really hilarious romance comedies. This is different. This work of art literally took our breath away. Even though humour abounds, it has a much more sensitive side to it. The structural writing couldn’t have been better since two stories will eventually meld into one. At the same time, the pace is as such that the reader is kept guessing. This gave the book an aura of intense depth and shape, viability. Told from the two protagonists’ points of view in past tense, we invested in them from the word go. Personal issues are revealed just when they needed to be. In fact, what we thought would be laugh out loud throughout was not to be. Ooh boy, were we fooled or what!

“Ummm… your hand is on my ass.”

“Is it? It must have a mind of its own.”

As per usual, Vi’s style shines through with her characters’ witty banter. It flows so naturally that it was easy to imagine being flies on the wall lapping up Chase and Reese’s toing and froing. Us gals at KFF felt totally spoilt not only because she’d gone to great lengths to satisfy our thirst for dialogue, but also her character development was beyond our dreams. That being said, how on earth she managed to have us grabbing for tissues in moments of happiness and sadness, has without a doubt, left us in awe.

“There’s nothing I’d like more than to come inside. And I mean that in more ways than one.”

Now then, let’s get down to the nitty-gritty! Chase Parker. Facets of his personality are lovable, conflicting, confusing, and not for the want of jumping into our Kindles and giving him a good hiding at times. Successful inventor of ladies’ aesthetic thingies, and get this … if indeed his invention existed, we’d be the first ones running to the shop which sold it. (Vi, you know what you have to do!) Just the right age for us, him wearing a made to measure suit like a second skin we could cope with . . . hardly. Envisioning Chase in low cut jeans, bare-footed, and a tattoo with a significance to be revealed, had our tongues hanging out. Underneath his façade is a very troubled man. Nevertheless, he had a way of creeping under our skin with an ease making us swoon to the moon. Officially naming him our book boyfriend of the year, we would even go to say that this gentle and considerate businessman by day and horrendously amorous lover by night… well, whenever and wherever he chooses depending on the opportunity, had us in his hands. Goodness, who doesn’t like a dirty talker willing you on with sexy personal messages and more besides? But maybe we were overly confident! A past occurrence of the direst kind doesn’t just catch up with him, it drowns him with even more guilt than we could possibly have envisaged. Making matters worse if that were ever possible, his last discovery in this complex plot broke him and us into pieces. We came undone, we wanted to hold his hand, and we sobbed alongside this beautiful, generous man who was trying his best to move on but to no avail.

“….. Being afraid is when you let fear control your life, let it stop you from doing what you want. When you’re afraid, but you look fear in the eye and live, that’s courageous.

We’re going to do a fast-forward here. Chase’s make-believe tales on the spur of the moment are absurd, ridiculously refreshing and what’s more, the lass he has his eye on goes with the flow much to his pleasure. She is spellbound but gives him as good as she gets! It’s a verbal tangle of flirtation, chemistry at its best, a conflict between two strong personalities finding their way and testing waters. Chuckle to our hearts content, we did! Who fell hard for this drop-dead gorgeous male whispering in Reese’s ear, spurring on sexy innuendos, goading a subtle inquisition to be conveyed in the length of this story? We suppose you’ve cottoned on by now! Not prepared to put her career in jeopardy, the coincidences that clash with the complications of job ethics set in, are to put it mildly, overwhelmingly real. She’s not good, she’s brilliant. Peculiar as it may seem, we were surprised that Reese Annesley confessed her fears before Chase. Slowly and cautiously she opens her heart when there’s no other option. We asked ourselves if revealing her fears was going to help him. A nudge in the right direction was most certainly needed. However, she can’t lose what she never really had and it’s not because patience is lacking. Chase, for us, was the epitome of a god-man walking on icy waters who fell into hell. Whether or not he manages to surface remains to be seen. In other words, we’re not letting on!

“There’s only one thing I need you to guard for me.”

“Name it.”

“You have my heart. Promise me you’ll keep it safe.”

“Only if you promise never to give it back.”

Bossman brought out all our feelings. We wept for joy and were struck by sorrow in scenes which pulled on our heartstrings. Vi never fails to disappoint us in her books. For us, book heaven is blending swoon-worthiness with the vulnerability in a male protagonist and we had that and more with Chase. If you’re looking for laughter and a real heart-wrenchingly beautiful story then look no further than this new offering from one of our favourite authors. Bravo Vi, bravo!

synopsis

Being the only woman working for a professional baseball team isn’t easy. As the San Diego Shock’s newest athletic trainer, Allie knows all about long hours, endless travel, and warding off players’ advances. Given she’s already the subject of a handful of rumors about how “lucky” she was to have earned such a coveted position, she can’t so much as flutter an eyelash a player’s way if she wants to be taken seriously.

But number eleven is doing more than fluttering eyelashes Allie’s way. Far more. Luke Archer is at the top of his game and doesn’t let the fear of striking out keep him from swinging. This is a motto he applies both on and off the field, but Allie appears immune, seeming to view Luke as nothing more than caution tape on legs.

He’s a player, and in Allie’s experience, they’re all the same. She won’t risk her job or her heart to another one, no matter how different this one claims to be. But as Allie gets to know him, she discovers the number eleven the public thinks they know is very different from the real Luke Archer. He seems too good to be true.

And maybe he is.

Allie will have to confront the stories attached to a player of Luke Archer’s stature and decide who she’ll put her faith in—The man she’s falling for? Or the rumors?

Kindle Friends Forever: 4 ~4.5 Star Review by Sharon Thérèse

KFF are suckers for sport romance. And regardless of whether us Brits are tuned into baseball or not, give us a team of players, (pun unintended), and we’re game! I have only read one book by this author which floored me, turned me upside down and inside out. So my surprise was tenfold when I started reading this one. There is no doubt whatsoever the Ms Williams’ versatility is commendable. And this read worked just as well for me as the other one but with a difference. If you want angst, twists and turns at every corner and a complicated plot, you won’t get it because Stealing Home is light, sweet, sad and beautiful all rolled into one. A perfect summer read. That being said, it grabbed me from the very first chapter to the last written word. Told in first person in past tense, this was one of those very rare occasions I didn’t miss the male protagonist’s point of view. And the reason is quite simple. The banter that flows freely and naturally made me feel like I was there alongside the characters.

“Sorry, Doc. I didn’t think you’d catch me in the act.”

Who isn’t a romantic at heart? I didn’t get the impression that Luke Archer was that way inclined but oh boy; how very mistaken I was. At the top of his career, fans adore him and respect from his peers, he has. Goodness me, I adored him, too! Falling head over heels for Luke was virtually instant and I had no doubt that patience would be his virtue. Yet I needed to know more about the whys and wherefores of his stance towards the gal who’d caught his eye. How he’d cope with his feeling and his concern for so much that was at stake. We are all aware that more often than not, the most successful sports professionals’ fame goes to their head. This is not the case with Luke. I couldn’t have wished to meet a humbler guy. Ooh, and I forgot to mention that he’s drop-dead gorgeous!

“He’s careful because women look at him and see a windfall.”

I easily imagined why Allie Eden wanted to excel. A newbie in the athletic trainers’ team, she’d worked damn hard to get where she is in a man’s world and loves her job. Her opinions are held in high regard by Coach Beckett but eyed with scepticism by those above her. And the last thing on her mind is getting involved with one of the players and putting her job in jeopardy. Circumstances determine that Allie and Luke spend more time together after an unfortunate occurrence. Blinkin’ heck, the attraction between them is sizzling! You’ll have to fan the flames ladies because the pages come alight with passion.

“Don’t make me have to do even filthier things to you in my head than I’m already doing.”

However, like any good love story, it’s not a bed of roses for these two. Unspoken words turn into misunderstandings and unmade promises become a point of confusion. Hmm, I wanted to give Allie a good talking to more than once. Luke couldn’t put a foot wrong with me and his sisters are such delightful lasses. Luke and Allie’s relationship enthralled me. I sighed, cried, laughed out loud and smiled from ear to ear. The character development is par excellent; the plot, impeccable and the ending… hahaha, not telling! Faultless grammar; yeah, I’m a grammar monster and what else can I say except bravo Ms Williams!

“I didn’t make you a promise.”
“Just because you didn’t verbalize it doesn’t mean you didn’t make one.”

EXCERPT

“Shouldn’t you buy me dinner first or something?” Archer smirked at me when he lifted up onto his elbows as I tugged his sweats down his legs.

“Tell you what,” I replied after I gave one last pull, freeing the dark gray sweats from him. After handing him a towel, I waited for him to drape it over his lap. Instead he curled it up and tossed it across the hotel room. “How about I draw you a nice, soothing, relaxing bath? Full of ice.”

As I came around the side of his bed, it took all of my concentration to focus on the compress I needed to unwrap instead of what was resting just a little higher. At least he had underwear on, but it wasn’t like they provided much coverage. Especially when what was tucked inside them looked about ready to burst free.

And dammit. I’d looked. From the way I could feel him watching me, he knew I’d looked too.

“Another ice bath. Sounds perfect. Since my balls aren’t already blue enough.” Archer spread his legs open farther as I reached down to unwind the compress circling his upper right thigh.

“Yeah, well, that’s what you get for not listening to the recommendation of your athletic trainer to take it easy.” I unwound the bandage slowly, not wanting to further inflame the area. “Every three hours, we’ll alternate fifteen minutes of ice and heat.”

“Yay.” He cleared his throat when my fingers brushed his inner thigh as I unwound the last of the compress Shepherd had wrapped back in the locker room after his first ice bath. “Since you got to decide on the ice option, how about I decide on the heat option?”

From the low notes in his voice, I knew exactly what he meant. “The plan is to calm the tear. Not further aggravate it.”

“Okay. I can work with that.” When I exhaled, he added, “I’ve got ideas.”

“Ideas that involve what you have in mind and not using your groin muscles?” My gaze wandered back to that part of his anatomy. Right before moving onto a different part of it. Holy shit. Something about knowing he wanted me and wasn’t concerned with hiding that desire made me dizzy. “Good luck with that.”

Archer watched me as I disappeared into the bathroom to turn off the water filling the tub. “Never underestimate the ingenuity of a desperate man.”

After testing the temperature of the bath, I grabbed one more bag of ice and dumped it in. I’d arranged to have four new bags arrive every few hours through the night so I could mitigate the damage Archer’s pulled groin muscle would have on his season.

The team doctor had done an exam in the locker room and assured Coach Beckett that with aggressive care these first twenty-four hours, Archer should be able to play the game in New Orleans three days from now.

From my own exam, I knew the doctor was giving Coach a serious case of lip service. The only way Archer would be able to play the Shock’s next game was if we injected him with every illegal substance in this sport and on the market in general. It was a class two pull—no amount of walking off would fix this in a couple days’ time.

“Are you hungry, Doc?” Archer called from the other room.

“That depends on the context of that question.”

His laugh carried into the bathroom. “You know me too well. However, in this instance, I’m referring to hunger as in for food. The room service type specifically. I can order something for us so we can eat once you’re done cryogenically freezing my gonads.”

Wandering back into his room, I dried off my hands with a towel. “Hey, this isn’t my fault—I warned you to take it easy.”

I ceremoniously waved my arms toward the bathroom, feeling nervous. I’d given so many ice baths I could have filled an entire ocean with them, but this one was different. It was for Luke Archer. In his hotel room instead of the locker room. Plus, back there, the entire coaching and medical staff had been present, pow-wowing a plan of treatment. No one else was here now though.

Just me. Just him. And a locked door.

“Dinner?” Archer waved the room service menu at me.

“I’ll order it for us. We need to get you in the tub before you get any more swollen.”

Archer’s gaze swept down his body, landing on the very part of him I was trying not to inspect. “I can think of something to help with the ‘swelling.’”

Crossing my arms, I gave him an unfazed look. “I’m here to see to your leg. Not your dick.”

“I think that by taking care of one, you’ll be taking care of the other.”

“True. Ice baths are up to the task of tending to torn muscles and swollen dicks. So let’s get started.”

Archer lay stretched out in bed for another minute, calling my bluff, but when I made no move to throw myself at him, he sighed. “The ice bath it is.”

“Good choice.”

Kindle Friends Forever: 5 ★ Review by Sharon Thérèse

**ARC generously given in exchange for an honest review**

The author’s versatile writing really shines through in the fourth book of the Hades Hangmen series. It was as if I was reading two completely different styles which melded into one as the story progresses. This technique fitted perfectly into an incredibly well thought out plot and only seemed to enhance the characters’ personalities and the circumstances they found themselves in. Once again, I am in awe of Tillie. She has gone above and beyond my expectations in a book that I had been waiting impatiently for. My heartstrings were pulled further than I thought possible; tender moments had me taking a deep breath, and I had my doubts as to whether or not I’d be able to get to the end unscathed. But I can assure you that every page turned was worth it. And I’d like to mention the opening of this story. Although I thought I had all the details of Souls Unfractured under control, the prologue gave me a little push in the right direction and from then on in, everything came flowing back. Chapter one starts off in present day and get this, there’s little dialogue since the male protagonist tells of the awful predicament he’s in. The banter picks ups in chapter two and told from another character’s point of view. Told in past tense, I can’t tell you how much I liked delving into three minds with all their dilemmas; their distresses, their right and wrong doings. Who are these guys that managed to bring out so many emotions in me, then?

“You have a conflicted conscience in a damned and evil world.”

Here goes! Those of you that have read the three previous books in the series are more than familiar with this MC club’s issues and what the members have been up against. We are also aware who Cain, aka Rider is and the relationship he had had with them in the past and his position in The Order. What he and others go through inside the cult caused me deep sorrow. What happens to him on the outside, too. One might say he deserved to be punished, but I beg to differ. My opinion might well be disputed as practices of the most degrading and immoral kind are rife and although extremely unpleasant; a fact that still exists. Then Styx. This man is going to have to make a difficult decision which really disturbed me. But there is a ray of light at the end of the tunnel. Mentioning no names, she is the strongest; the sassiest, and has no compunction fighting tooth and nail for what she wants regardless of her horrendous past.

“Before the women. You and I were unbreakable. A fuckin’ ruthless unit. Now . . . “

Never could I have imagined the ginormous twist that was coming. Well, three actually. Left aghast, I was a tad frustrated with myself as I hadn’t cottoned on until the cat was let out of the bag and the second and third one pleasantly surprised me. Cain tells all in such a way that made me in the figurative sense, come undone. The question is this. How will the outcome of these truths affect everyone involved? Does Cain even want forgiveness? Having my feelings pushed to the limit in the last quarter of the book resulted in me sobbing my heart. So much so that I didn’t bother drying my tears.

“You have been the only good I’ve ever known. You’ve been the heaven I was searching for after all. Not the faith, or the prayers . . . just you . . . only you.”

Redemption, freedom and justice. These three nouns which are the backbone of this read are so strongly defined that in all honesty, their meanings take on one hell of a new perspective. What enchanted me more than anything was meeting up again with Styx, Mae and Ky damn it, has a very special place in my heart as does his lovely wife, Lilah. Flame, Maddie, Cain’s one and only friend, newbies in the club, all of them play a part and have their say.

“I don’t have the words, other than sorry. If I could take it back, I would in a second.”

This was one of the hardest reviews I have written. I didn’t read the synopsis and I’d really like you to do the same. The element of surprise will astound you and more besides. Tillie, as you can see I’m not exactly lost for words but there are two which I shall use to sum up this read. EPIC and BRAVO!

KFF’s 5  Review HERE!

What a beautiful message from WS Greer. KFF would like to take this opportunity to wish him the very best for his new release!

“Well, I can’t believe we’re already doing the cover reveal for this book. Kingpin (An Italian Mafia Romance Duet #1) was such a success, I’m so excited for the sequel/completion. This book took me to places I’ve never been before in the writing process, and I can’t wait to see how people respond to it.

FIVE STEAMING HOT STARS

Twenty-four hours after completing Like A Boss and I’m still breathless and blown away from Logan Chance’s debut erotic story.

Theo Sullivan and Penelope Marks have a chance one night encounter. It never leaves their memory but they resign themselves to the fact they will never cross paths again first instance of hot and steamy. Will Theo ever see his silver goddess again?

Moving on, Theo buys a South Beach Miami based bar. The bartender Penelope, doesn’t think he has what it takes and there begins the cat and mouse of strong personalities colliding which made it a very interesting game of war. Penelope tries to defy him inexplicably. Theo is determined to make a success of Lopa and Penny wants to be considered for manager but the two are constantly head to head. Theo is bossy and Penny is a sassy young woman.

The story is told in dual point of view which is always a favourite of mine. I engaged with the characters immediately and wow, what a start to the book! Theo is the epitome of alpha male with his filthy talk. But what I liked about him was although he’s a stubborn and cocksure kind of guy, he also shows a sensitive side. His persona intrigued me so much so that I wanted to get inside his head. At times he frustrated me and then in other moments, he’s a hot sexy man who had me mesmerised.

Bold as brass, I was instantly drawn to Penelope. And what made it even more interesting was their feistiness. Tempestuous and passionate, a total clash and ignition of two people that seemed to love and hate each other’s company. Penny also has a very apt nickname for Theo that had me grinning throughout.

Although it seemed as if they were going to have a slow build up to eventually being together rather than boss and employee, what I saw was a completely different story. They have a gripping and volatile working relationship. Other characters emerge and what I initially thought was going happen, didn’t. I can’t not mention the hot and steamy scenes. It was enough to make me combust and fan myself. It had an extremely prurient feel to the book.

A particular scene in the bar was so full of hotness that my kindle almost burnt my hands. Putting my device down, I blushed and felt rather flustered which made me smile at how engrossed I was. You could have heard a pin drop! Of course, being interrupted by real life when I’d shut the outside world out was nothing less than a setback. I don’t want to give too much away, but can’t stress enough how much the written word seduced my mind leaving me craving for more.

I have to touch on the writing ability of Logan. He can seriously write something that sucks you in with a style that connects you to all his characters. He certainly is an author to watch out for and I can’t recommend Like A Boss enough. I am looking forward to what’s next and as an avid reader, I detect that Mr Chance is going to have a longevity within the indie world. For as long as he embraces it, he’ll undoubtedly have a place amongst my favourite authors.

“Ok get back to work, ” “please.”

 “Yes Sir.”

“Also, next time you decide to open your mouth,” “and trash talk me,” “or call me an asshole,” “Just remember, I’m the boss and I’m not going anywhere. Decide if you can handle it.”

 “I won’t quit.”

Let’s be honest, most men aren’t even that damn picky, but tonight I craved above average. It’s why I picked Nectar—the hottest place to be on a Friday
night—but while sexy, curvaceous asses and pumped up plastic tits painted the room like a surgeon’s personal advertisement billboard, I wanted something
closer to the liquor in my hand. I wanted a girl fresh out of the damn bottle, warm in my mouth, burning on the way down, and fucking me up until I
couldn’t see straight. I wanted the good shit.

EXCERPT

When the photographer announced he was going to commence shooting, I turned my head away, focusing on the space just over Archer’s shoulder. “You didn’t know I existed before last night,” I said quietly, so no one else in the room could hear.

“I’ve known you’ve existed from the first day you walked out onto the diamond at spring practice.” He was back to barely moving his lips, managing to hold a sexy-as-hell smirk as he stared at the camera.

“And why was last night the first time you ever said anything to me?”

His eyes darted my way for a moment. “Because you didn’t seem like the type who was open to mixing business with pleasure, and I respected that.”

“That’s why we’re in our present situation?” I glanced down at myself, where his jersey was floating a good foot above my knees. “Because you respected my policy on that topic?”

The corner of his mouth twitched, the lights of the camera flashing in his eyes. “Hey, even a patient man has his limits.” With that, the position of his bat moved so the end of it was nuzzled into my backside. Which meant his fist curled around it was all up in my butt’s business too.

His crooked smile became more pronounced.

The photographer whistled, I guess approving of whatever feedback he was getting on his end of the camera. “Every woman in America wants to be you right now, sweetheart.”

Archer grunted, his knuckles digging a little deeper into my ass. “More like every guy in America wants to be me right now.”

I did my best to stay still and, you know, keep from hyperventilating. The heat from the lights, combined with the heat spilling from his body, was stifling. With his cleats on and me being barefoot, Luke Archer seemed that much taller. With my petite body pressed up against his, his frame seemed that much more imposing. With his arms snug around me, I could feel the strength he possessed. It was the kind that was meant for power. The kind that told me he could do anything he wanted to me and I’d be helpless to stop it. It was thrilling at the same time it was terrifying.

A few minutes later, my heart still thudding so hard I prayed he couldn’t hear it, the skin between Archer’s brows creased. “When will the magazines go up for auction?”

“In two months. Don’t worry, we’ll send you one.” The photographer continued to snap photo after photo.

“Yeah, I’m going to need more than that.”

“How many more?”

The crease deepened. I was trying to keep my head turned away from him, but my eyes weren’t so capable of the task.

“Eh, thirty? Maybe forty? Just enough for every wall in my apartment. Don’t worry, I’ll pay whatever the auction price winds up being.”

My forehead creased. “Every wall in your apartment?”

“I like my name on your back.”

The way he said it, like it should have been obvious and required no explanation, made me smile. “Such a caveman.”

“If I was a caveman, I’d tell you where I’d rather have my name on you.” Archer’s fist pressed into my backside enough to smash me closer to him. “Tattooed on you so you couldn’t just take it off or wash it off.”

“Wow, okay, so I retract my former accusation in favor of labeling you some barbarian-Neanderthal-caveman hybrid.”

“Before you form any more unfavorable opinions of me, let me just remind you that I’m a baseball player.” When I arched a brow at him, he continued, “I’m good with my hands, know what to do with a big stick, and am used to getting dirty.”

I had to bite my lip to keep from smiling. I didn’t want him to think I found any of what he’d said endearing, even though I kind of did.

With my hand tucked behind his back, I pinched at his side. “Only in baseball is someone highly skilled if they hit one third of the balls thrown in their direction.”

His plastered on smolder fell when he shot me a wounded expression. “Sure Coach doesn’t have you around to keep our egos in check?”

“A pro baseball player’s ego? No amount of insults could keep that in check.” I felt my straight face falter as he threw me another injured look.

“Triple ouch.”

“Oh, please. You like it.”

“Yeah”—he tipped his hips into me just enough—“I do.”

I nearly leapt through the ceiling when I felt him hard against me, but I recovered. Eventually.

“Everything okay?” the photographer asked, not sounding like he really cared.

Archer waited for me to answer.

“Everything’s great,” I muttered.

“Thanks. I get that a lot.” Archer’s eyes were spilling amusement.

Grumbling under my breath, I did my best to stay cool and collected through the remainder of the shoot. I felt the opposite though.

After a minute, Archer must have noticed the frustrated look on my face. “Sorry,” he whispered.

“Sorry for what?” I asked. “That I’m wearing nothing but your jersey? That I somehow wound up in this photo shoot when I had no idea I’d be posing for Sports Anonymous with Luke Archer? Or are you sorry for your erection you clearly can’t control when I’m stuck sandwiched between you and a baseball bat?”

Archer lowered his head so his mouth was beside my ear. “I’m sorry if my ‘erection’ makes you uncomfortable.”

“But not sorry because you have one, right?”

His head shook slowly. “No, not sorry for that.”

“Of course not.”

When he shrugged, the band of muscle beneath his chest moved against my hand. “At least now you know.”

“At least now I know what?”

“How I feel.”

I blew out a breath. “Yeah, I have a really good idea how you feel. Thanks for clearing it up.”

The harder Archer fought his smile, the more pronounced his dimple became. The auction price for these issues just spiked a grand or two. The children’s hospital could thank me later.

“You know how this game works. I know how.” He paused, letting that settle in the space between us. “You just have to decide if you want to play.”

“Because you have decided?”

His bat pressed deeper into my back, drawing me impossibly closer to his body. His arousal settled hard into the side of my stomach. “Doc, I’m already playing.”
