Title: Monster Stepbrother
Author: Harlow Grace
 Release Date: February 9, 2015

His dark obsession runs deep. How does a girl go from being her Daddy’s precious baby doll to feeling like a filthy whore?Easy really. When my father remarries it changes the course of my life and
everything becomes . . . complicated.
My new stepbrother is a monster who hates me. Unapologetic, controlling and
brazen he’s intent on making my life a living hell. Blackmails me into doing
things I never thought I’d do. Illicit things.

Oliver King makes the rules. He f*cks me whenever he wants. How he wants. Where
he wants.

My head screams this is wrong, yet I can’t resist giving in to forbidden desires.

I’m his possession, his toy — his ultimate pleasure.

He’s never letting me go. I’m his dark obsession.

My dirty addiction to my stepbrother grows to a dangerous level. Am I sick to
crave more from the man who has made me his slut? Or should I escape and run as
far away as possible?

My name is Maya Childs and this is my story.

Dark erotic novel that contains sensitive subject matter that may make readers uncomfortable. Not appropriate for readers under 18. Contains explicit language and descriptions of sexual situations and violence.

For goodness sake! What has this author gone and done to me? I normally stay well clear of dark reads; however, such was my metamorphosis after reading Monster Stepbrother, had me sincerely hoping there is more to come from her masterful penmanship. After a sleep deprivation night flipping the pages under the sheets, only resulted in a ginormous book hangover. For those of you who like dark reads, this is it! Get ready for lewd vocabulary. Get ready for an angst-ridden and a fast moving plot which literally sucks you in, that will literally spit you out! Get ready for unspoken words between the two protagonists overflowing with misunderstandings. This book will mess with your head; make you question the morality behind this complex story.

Quote: “Since the beginning, anger and contempt steadily intensified until it became all consuming. Destructive!”

Oliver is nefariously walking a tight line. And he knows it! His wrong doings spin out of control. He goes to great lengths to seek vengeance on the one person who wants his praise without realising why. His wayward acts will have horrendous repercussions. Both are young. Hormones take over any reasoning. I asked myself more than once what was the basis for such hatred. The answer is pure and simple. Attraction for a step-sibling.

Quote: “What’s wrong with me? I was so f….d up to want him in that way.”

My feelings for Oliver at the beginning of this story were conflicted. Obnoxious, definitely. Horrendously good-looking, no doubt about it. A grudge or two towards his self-centred mother who cares more for her well-being than her son’s, most certainly. Nevertheless, he’s an excellent IT student studying away from home for reasons to be revealed in the story. He takes care of himself in all aspects and is financially independent. Here we have one hell of a gorgeous young man you cannot not help to fall in love regardless of his dark side.

Quote: “F***ing and women talking should be mutually exclusive.”

The story starts off when he meets up with ‘the kid’ on his summer vacation. He’d met Maya before but he’d chosen to ignore her, and now she’s out to make his very existence impossible. Life comes and goes, time passes by with all its complications. But when the time comes for his nemesis to pay her for titillating ways, he finds a way to blackmail her into succumbing to his needs. Obsession rules. He’s consumed by her beauty, her sassy back-chat, her very being.

Quote: “You, Oliver King, are a f***ing monster. I despise you.”

Oh Lord! It’s not right to fall in love with the hero who isn’t a hero at all. This read was soooo good. I can’t get over the fact that I lost a night’s sleep burning the pages. As previously mentioned, I can’t for the life of me comprehend how this author has managed to sway my opinion regarding dark reads, which she plainly has. It’s a highly erotic and consuming read so therefore, my recommendation is go with the flow. You won’t be disappointed.

Quote: “Oliver was my drug of choice. I never denied him.”

If there was one thing I would have liked to have seen in this standalone novel is a playlist. There are many songs fitting for this incredibly awesome couple who will strive over the years to have a happy ending. But saying that, I couldn’t find fault in this impeccable read. There is so much I wanted to say in this review but I refuse to let on. Just read it. You will not regret one-clicking! One huge, enormous bravo to you Ms. Grace.

Quote: ” Make time stand still, Oliver”
