Abel Gunner is a rock-star with legendary skills both in and out of the bedroom. He swore he wouldn’t fall for another woman after being schemed and manipulated by an ex-lover. He kept that vow until he met Gia Mastro. The Dom inside of him awoke the moment he set eyes upon the submissive beauty. His dark soul hungered for her submission and affection. The deep connection they share leaves him desperate for something he never expected – her love. Her pain brings him the pleasure he craves. Her smile calms the beast that rages within him. Gia loves Abel more than life itself, but Abel is disillusioned by love and wrecks Gia in the process. Her life hangs in the balance. His life depends on forgiving her. This couple must face many truths. Is love enough to overcome the damage that dwells within? Gia’s experiences with love have been nil until meeting the infamous bad-boy rocker, Abel Gunner. Swept up in a mind-bending, Dom/submissive love affair, she’s forced to make decisions that both help and hurt their relationship. They both have to face their demons before they can embrace a future together. In the end, they’re faced with two choices: Fight for their love, or die with their demons.

The long awaited sequel to Saving Abel had finally landed; in my Kindle! How excited I was to receive the honour of yet again, reviewing a book written by Gina Whitney.

The story continues exactly where it had left off. Abel had flown half way around the world to go on tour with his band feeling betrayed by Gia. And Gia? Well, the gal in question was left standing all alone feeling completely devastated, totally suicidal. Gina feeling fragile, is a lost soul without her soul mate, completely shuts off from the world. In steps; the most unlikely saviour; Abel’s dad. He gathers her up, takes her half way around the world, and reunites her with her loved one; his son.

Abel sits alone feeling desolate and in pain, drowning his sorrows to get through the hours and days, missing his beloved Gia. After being confronted by his dad, Abel is devastated to learn how leaving Gia had affected her so much. After many hours of talking and sharing details; traumas of times gone by, they both come to the conclusion that their love would overcome any obstacles.

One such obstacle is Abel’s hard faced ex-girlfriend, Morgana. I really disliked this bitchy woman who very conveniently continued to haunt their lives and cause as much chaos and pain as she possibly could. The story follows the couple on a self-discovery of themselves and of each other. The intimate moments still steamed up my glasses; however, their story also filled me with such warmth as they were ‘that’ couple for me! So much in love— me? I turned me into a soppy mess!

I loved that he called her his beauty. The name just seemed to fit her to a tee. I felt quite envious of the love and tenderness Abel showed towards Gia. But there’s someone that troubles you in the storyline, that someone who kept popping up and irritated me no end. The twists and turns of this story filled the pages up quite nicely and held my attention throughout. Abel and Gia were just meant to be and nothing or no-one was going to get in the way!

My thanks to the author for allowing me to review this great book. A well-deserved five glorious shiny stars for an impeccably written book which I couldn’t fault.

the oneThis is the second book in the Halo Series; the first being Tattooed Dots. Even though you can read The One as a standalone, I highly recommend you read book one first. The story is told from a dual point of view which I really enjoyed. You get to be inside the protagonists minds and see how they felt and coped with what was thrown at each of them.

The One is Nicole and Avery’s story. Avery and Easton were friends from childhood who grew up together, practically like brothers. Avery was taken in by Easton’s parents, and they brought him up alongside Easton as their own. Easton has gone through his fair share of tragedy, too. Avery has itchy feet! He wants to find The One. He feels it’s time to settle down and have a family. So he talks Easton into going on a singles cruise with him. Once on the ship, he meets Nicole. He knows instantly she is The One and he falls fast and hard. As does Nicole. Things between them move at lightning speed, and every waking moment of the cruise is spent together. Mostly in bed! Hot, sexy and passionate, they can’t keep their hands off each other.

Of course, all good things comes to an end; however, they agree to carry on their relationship. This is by no means an easy feat since they can’t stand being separated. Avery decides he wants Nicole with him. When Nicole is faced with something life changing, she moves to New York to be with Avery. Finally she has everything she has ever wanted and Avery feels the same, too. But they are dealt a cruel and devastating blow that sends them into the depths of despair. They both react and deal with it differently and what follows is heart-breaking. Will they overcome the tragedy that tore them apart and continue to build a life together?

As the drama unfolds for Avery and Nicole, Brooke and Easton also have their own problems to face and overcome. In this book, we get to see how these two couples who are best friends, felt and coped with what was happening around them. It’s a great story, and yes, in a way its Tattooed Dots retold and because I’d read book one, it did at times feel like I already knew what was going to happen. Nevertheless, there are parts of their story not told or revealed in book one. This is Avery and Nicole’s story; their feelings, their lives and their dreams. I just loved each character so much so that it was easy to get involved, easy to fall for Easton and Avery! You’ll find yourself rooting for them all in a story which is fast paced at times, but also tender sensitive and heart-rending at others. A wonderful book and I can’t wait for book three!

“Come with me for a second?” Avery asked, whispering into my ear.

I shivered as his breath tickled my ear, causing goose bumps. I looked up at him silently questioning where he wanted to take me, but really, it didn’t matter. “Okay.” I stood.

“We’re going for a walk,” Avery murmured to Brooke and Easton. They barely registered what he’d said. Brooke was laughing with Easton—something that I hadn’t seen her do in a long time. Even her beautiful brown eyes had a twinkle to them.

“Where are we going?” I asked as we started to walk through the crowd.

“This way.”

He linked our hands as we walked to the lounge through the doors that led to the side deck. It was quiet, just a few people making out. We stood against the railing looking out into the open water. All I could see was the Pacific Ocean. No birds. No land—just calm blue water and the ship making little waves as we parted the water.

The heat from Avery’s body radiated off him as his left arm pressed into my right. I wanted more than just his arm touching me. I wanted to know what his mouth felt like on mine. I wanted to know the way he tasted, and the way his hands felt on my body.

“It’s crazy that we’re surrounded by nothing but water,” I said, the wind whisking around us causing my hair to fly in my face.

“Yeah, it is.”

I looked over at him as he spoke, his mouth moving closer with each word. I licked my lips, anticipating the moment his mouth met mine. The seconds felt like hours, and everything was in slow motion as he leaned down, brushing my hair aside with his hand before his lips finally met mine.

It started off slow, like he was testing the waters, testing my reaction. I felt his tongue slip out between his lips, silently asking me to open to him. I moaned, doing what he asked and opened up, allowing his tongue to slip in and take a swipe to taste me. I’d never had a kiss be so slow. So passionate. So right.

Avery’s lips were soft and they fit perfectly with mine. Like they were made for me to kiss…only me.

My hands reached up, running through his silky hair, our bodies stepping closer to one another until they were flush. I felt Avery’s arousal and if he could feel mine, he’d know I want to do more than kiss.

Just as our kiss intensified, we were bumped hard into the railing. I broke our kiss, looking at the couple stumbling as they tried to walk. They didn’t even bother to say they were sorry for running into us.

“Are you okay?” Avery asked.

“We should get back to our friends,” he said with a tight smile. Avery looked as bummed as I felt about the assholes breaking up our kiss.

He reached down and grabbed my hand again. I smiled because even though we’d lost our moment, what was happening between us wasn’t going to stop at one kiss. Maybe we would just talk, get to know each other. But if I was right, his lips were made for me and I wasn’t going to let some drunk assholes ruin my moment.

“Wait.” Avery halted us just before we rounded the corner to the pool. “I want to do that again. Tonight,” he said, looking at my mouth.

I smiled. “Me, too.”

“Good.” He smiled back.

In the world of pain and pleasure, Charles Damien Macavoy reigned. He was a man apart, one who require more than most. He was a Master of BDSM.

He’d been asked by another Dom and good friend to train the Dom’s current sub and love interest. Charles had trained many, but found himself attracted to his new trainee.

He was aware the fascination would wear off, it always did, and he’d returned the trainee to her Master willing and ready to submit.

Lurking in the shadows of a world few are accustomed to is evil. Sometimes a thing of beauty has hidden thorns. Sometimes the hunter becomes the hunted.

This was my very first encounter with the writings of Ethan Radcliff. Yes, I have read his poetry which is sublime in itself, but I’ve never read a full length novel by him. Blow me down with a feather! Why has it taken me so long? Needless to say, I will be delving into the mind of Ethan Radcliff again.

D O M. Charles Damien Macavoy. Even his name conjures up images of grandeur. Suave, sophisticated and charming. Caring towards ladies, this handsome man oozing noodles of sex appeal, makes the list of erotic adjectives endless. And above all, he is a master of BDSM. What more could a girl ask for! Oh! And a rather large appendage that will have the ladies drooling. He is a man who knows how to work it to its best advantage! Yes, I think I’m in love LOL.

Charles is also a man who commands respect and he has that with his fellow masters who occasionally ask him for help in training their submissive women.

Meet Samantha, a submissive whose Dom has fallen in love with her; however, he doesn’t have the control over her has a Dom should have. So he sends her to Charles for training.

Meet Tasha. Beautiful on the outside, ugly on the inside. Charles’s sub. She totally adores Charles and when the two of them get together, it’s explosive and sizzling. There’s something not quite right about Tasha and you just can’t put your finger on it. But you have to read the book to find out what that is.

Meet Maria his sex slave. Her job, to serve her master wherever and whenever it’s required. Which for highly sexed Charles is quite often. Charles and his entourage frequent the BDSM club quite often to enjoy the delights of each other.

Meet Joy, Charles’s neighbour. He has seen her come in and out of the flats, but has never conversed with her except to say a quick hello whilst passing by. A chance encounter in the corridor leads them on a path that they will take together. The instant attraction between them was mutual.

This books takes you through the day to day life of Charles and his ladies. There are little twists and turns that you don’t see coming but that just adds more excitement and suspense to the story.

I salute you Ethan Radcliff. This book was well written. Your story flowed along quite nicely on the page and you kept me entranced throughout. Hence, this book was read in one sitting. As I’ve become an enthusiastic fan of this author, I look forward to reading more of his work. Congratulations! Five well-earned stars.

About the Author:

I’ve been writing since I was a kid. I love creating and tried my hand at art, not bad but not good enough. A guy’s gotta eat. Through high school I wrote erotic stories, kept them in a notebook, let a few of my girlfriends read them. Yeah, played football, baseball, but my brain never stopped thinking of sex. I guess we think about it all the time.

Been on face book for a while never did anything interesting when I was on until I started to see all the writers and then some poets posting their erotic prose.  Men who were writing erotic romance and stories, I knew it was my time to get out the old note book and throw on some poems. Some are old and some are new, the ones about BDSM are newer. In high school or college I wasn’t on that train of thought.

I see a picture it sets me off. A see an attractive women it sets me off. The jiggle of a full ass or heavy breasts, get me going. Yeah, my mind always is on a beautiful face or body.

When I was asked to read this book, I must admit I had not heard of this author. So I did my normal trawl of Amazon and social media and found this erotic romance writer was in fact male. Not that I have anything against the male species; I’m married to one! It’s just not too many men write this particular genre. I began to read with an open mind; after all, that is what reviewing is all about.

The story begins with Elena White who is not happy with the way her life is coasting along. Elena works in a bank and finds it very mundane and boring. Especially working for the first class mega bitch Dawn, the manager of the bank. Elena is told by her tyrant boss to take her break at eleven, or not at all as if she was being spoken to like a child.

Elena goes off to lunch in a nearby coffee shop and after making herself comfortable, she hears a female voice calling her name. It’s Jasmine Saunders whom she went to school with and has not seen her in years. Jasmine is a beautiful woman dressed immaculately and at first, Elena didn’t recognise her. Jasmine tells Elena she is self-employed as a personal assistant. Jasmine asks Elena what she does and Elena reluctantly tells her where she works. They swap numbers and agree to meet up on Thursday when they are both free to have a few drinks and a catch up.

They both talk about what they have been up to and its clear Jasmine has it all. Looks, money and a life she is happy with, but does she? She talks Elena into changing her lifestyle and gives her the information to change it. Elena does so slightly reluctantly. Guided by Jasmine causes a turn of events I’m not going to reveal. You will have to read to find out.

Here enters Conrad Bailey into the scenario. He becomes entangled with Elena through the events I have mentioned. Conrad is a successful rich business man who of course is hot, sexy and delicious. Elena, well she’s entranced by him! On the surface Conrad seem to be Mr Perfect, but underneath he is guarding the hurt and pain he has suffered. Again, I’m not telling!

Together Elena and Conrad embark on an off love affair. The two of them have an extremely hot chemistry with sexy scenes that leave you fanning yourself. This brings me back to the turn of events that the road to true love is not going to run smoothly. These two people have issues secondary to their romantic interlude which could threaten to destroy before it even begins. I was on the edge of my seat willing this to turn out the way I wanted and the bad characters to get what they deserve.

All in all, I was pleasantly surprised by Mr Carver’s offering and I was pleased I gave it a chance. I’ve deducted half a star as I felt that odd bits were a little rushed although nothing major. Not only would I like to know more about Elena and Conrad’s life, but I’m also keen to hear Jasmine Saunders’ story. How her life went down the route she took, how it links up and continues after Whiter Than White. I look forward to future books and be assured Mr. Carver, I have been totally won over by your style of erotic writing. Well done— kudos to you!

Good Lord! What a second book. The story continues with Robert, Brooke and family. And please read book one first as this is a follow-up from events that happened. Well, I have to say I really loved this one. I laughed shouted, had tears in my eyes, and I fell more in love with all the characters, not just the main ones.

At the end of novel one, Brooke decided to stay in America and Robert finally opened his heart to Brooke. In this book, Brooke sees Robert for who he truly is and he has reached an important decision; make up for his troubled past. Meanwhile, Robert has business problems in New York with a man from the Mafia.

Now we are given the opportunity to learn more about Travis, Roberts’s brother but not a blood sibling. They have been through thick and thin together since childhood and Travis says he owes his life to Robert. With Christmas round the corner, Brooke vows to make it the best Christmas any of them have ever had. When New Year’s Eve arrives, Robert has a surprise for her that left me with tears in my eyes.

A few days later Robert, Brooke, Travis and family take a trip to New York to sort out Roberts business problems. Brooke and Kerry, a young lass who has a strong bond with Brooke, find themselves in a situation that goes totally wrong, leaving me shouting—noooooo! My heart was pounding, and I felt like I was hanging on the edge of my seat. I actually swore at this point and needed to finish the book to see what happens next.

Again I applaud the author for another superb book. To say the plot was rollercoaster ride would be an understatement. It was so much more than that. The outcome of this emotional read was thoroughly exhausting for me, and by the time I’d finished this book, my face was blotchy and my eyes swollen from crying. The secondary characters of this novel are fantastic, making me wish I had family and friends like these. If only I could have upped my five stars rating for this excellent book and the authors’ writing style! Because you believe me, I would have! Keep up with the good work Ms. Podger; I am most definitely looking forward to reading more of your books.

I asked a very good friend of mine about these books as I was unsure. She told me little about the novel without spoiling it for me and of course, when she asked me if I’d like to review it for KFF, I just jumped at the chance! I was so into the book, I read it in one day. Hungry for more, I dived straight into book two without putting it down for one minute. The author of this series has gained herself a big fan in less than forty-eight hours, so I will most certainly be one clicking all her books in the future.

Well, first we meet Brooke. Long black hair, thirty years old and living in England. After ending a ten year relationship, she decides to go to America to visit her best friend, Sam, who is gay and I might add, I loved to bits. While staying with him, Brooke slowly comes to terms with her life back home as she has not had the best childhood. Parents who raised her, simply ignored her, favouring her sibling more, and a romance that was going nowhere.

Dropping by Sam’s workplace, she gets this strange feeling that someone is watching her. When she turns around, huge black eyes are staring at her. Instant connection is there which goes straight to her soul. Robert’s fathomless eyes, his gorgeous black hair, and Italian looks astound her. Obviously she has no idea who he is or where he comes. He wants Brooke instantly and can feel the strong connection, too. The more we get to know Robert, the more we find he has this dark and dangerous side to him. A troubled past that he refuses to let anyone know about, or even get the slightest bit close to. There are only two people he trusts and loves and the three of them together are a close-knit family.

Throughout the novel we see Robert and Brooke fall for each other but it’s going to be a very big struggle. What they both go through had me holding my breath in some parts and making me a nervous wreck. I have no intention of spoiling this brilliant read for you, so won’t tell you any more. I highly recommend you read this book; it most definitely won’t disappoint. Furthermore, you won’t want to put the book down until the end. I rate this book five stars as the author more than deserves it. The writing is superb, the storyline has its twists and turns leaving me saying WOW when I finished the book.

left behind 6This is the first book these authors have written in the Young Adult category and I must say that I was enthralled from the beginning to the end. Despite the fact that I don’t usually read books aimed at this market, I found this read unputdownable, and highly recommendable for all age groups.

The first thing that caught my attention was the style of writing. If any of you are familiar with these authors, you’ll be taken by surprise. Many sentences are short, even jerky; however, it works to perfection. I really liked how each chapter was told from each of the protagonists’ point of view, too. So how did I feel about these two adorable characters? Well, I fell for them at the drop of a hat! I sobbed my heart out with them, for them. So get a man-size handkerchief ready folks, because you’re going to need it.

Two stories are blended together at a very fast pace. Firstly, we are introduced to Nikki who lives in a trailer (caravan). She knows she can’t stay there, she has no-one. Even though she’s only seventeen, she’s extremely mature her age. Life has been a rough ride, a cruel one. She’s had no choice but to grow up quickly as circumstances were beyond her control. Utterly sad for the loss of someone dear doesn’t make her bitter though. Never fear! She is very fortunate in having an especially close relationship with Ashley, her best friend. I loved Ashley’s personality. A little quirky, quick off the mark and very loving towards Nikki. Nikki makes a discovery which will change her life forever. Not only does she discover that she has an aunt in California, but also someone else who could fill the void. With the help of a grumpy social worker, they find her aunt and she leaves her old life behind.

Zack, Zack, Zack! Where do I start with this adorable lad! He is an example to all. Patient, caring and totally loveable. And totally in love, too! Mind you, he’s been finding Emily a bit exasperating of late. They are the cutest couple in school, and she certainly knows how to live up to it. Over the years, the young girl that had moved in front of his parents’ house has changed. And not for the better! Something Zack could never have imagined happens, and his world comes tumbling down. Wallowing in his grief and guilt, he shuts himself off from the world.

After much cajoling from his parents and his best mate, Keller, Zack starts to pick himself up. There’s a new girl in class. Between glimpses and unspoken words, they cautiously develop a friendship. Both of them have their secrets, yet neither tell. Guess who she is? Sorry, I’m not letting on! It is a matter of fact that she is nothing like any girl he has ever meet before. Intelligent, ignorant to her beauty, and a little wary of her new surroundings, she begins to find some equilibrium in her life. Not all is as it seems and this is why you have to read this amazing standalone book.

The authors’ sensitivities and abilities to handle delicate issues come through strong in all their well-developed characters. I couldn’t find fault in this heart-breaking love story. Yes! My heart was broken; somehow, these two gifted writers managed to piece it together. Ms. Keeland, Ms. Scott…you have my admiration. BRAVO!

Two of my favourite quotes.

“When you’re not around, I’m lonely in a room full of people.”

“It says love needs no words. You had me before you even spoke.”

And how beautiful the quote is on the pic below!
