TIED WEDDING INVITATIONnKFF had the pleasure accepting the invitation to a wedding we’ve all been waiting for. And what an event!

What a finale to such an awesome series! Or maybe it’s wishful thinking on my part, but could we see more of Drew Evans’ best buddies? There’s most definitely one or two of all these characters’ stories to be told!

To say I laughed out loud would be an understatement; I cried, dribbled, and there were times that I lost total control of my senses! Why? Because Drew’s way of sharing his point of view with us regarding love and marriage made me fall for this guy with an ego as big as the Grand Canyon, even more! And to be quite honest with you, I didn’t think that was possible.

“I was pretty frigging awesome before…but now I’m even better.”

The author’s style of writing is beyond refreshing. And the banter? Apart from being sassy, sarcastically realistic and downright snarky, all this makes for a credible story which you can relate to. Drew is a changed man. He had to mature if he was going to be worthy of Katherine Brookes’ love. He worships the earth that she walks on and takes on the responsibility of being a father with open arms. Oooh, baby James! You are just going to love him. Well, most of the time he’s adorable, because when Drew describes his fatherly chores like changing diapers, which I might add, he is very proud of doing, my imagination ran wild!

“Do I risk putting him down, or should I learn to sleep standing up like a frigging horse?”

However, he still holds a grudge against Kate’s ex, Warren. When Drew isn’t pulling his leg to the point of total and utter embarrassment, he’s handing him out advice. I’m telling you—Drew’s got he’s act together!

“I’m a sucker for a lost cause—St. Jude always was my favorite saint.”

He and Kate are going to tie the knot! After all the ups and downs they’ve had over the past five years, now is their moment of glory—the wedding. Nevertheless, there’s the stag and hen night to think about and on everyone’s agenda, and boy oh boy, if anyone is going to commit a sin, it’s going to be in Las Vegas! The lead up to a scene in the hotel where the gals participate in a “Goddess Party,” had me cracking up. And when the stag night gets in full swing, unless you’ve got nerves of steel, you’ll be flipping the pages over quickly to find out the outcome of their actions on the limit of debauchery.

“I know what you’re thinking: What the hell did you do this time?”

What I liked was no-one was left out of the celebrations. Drew’s demure secretary, Erin, surprises us towards the end of the story. Jack, the sworn bachelor might just have something up his sleeve. Will Drew’s sister, Alexander and her husband, Steven, who are going through a dodgy patch sort themselves out? And how will their daughter Mackenzie, the apple of Drew’s eye, react to her first kiss? Erm…Dee, Matthew’s wife. Yeah! You all know she and Drew aren’t exactly amicable towards each other. Mind you, that doesn’t mean that things could change! Last, but certainly not least…Kate! She is as always, gorgeous. The only woman who has been able to tame Drew, won’t disappoint you. With her quick remarks and tantalizing ways, her husband to be is well and truly enamoured.

“Mercy is a gift—given out of love, not worthiness. And that’s what Kate will always be to me.”

The bedroom scenes are incredibly sexy, there’s a good dose of drama and plenty of hilarious situations, so get ready for a really exciting read. Ms. Chase—you’ve done it before and you’ve outdone yourself this time. Bravo!

How true is one of my favourite quotes: “Contrary to popular belief, there’s definitely a right way and a wrong way to answer. Unfortunately for men, the honest answer is usually the wrong one.”
