FIVE SHINING STARS

I’ve always try my very hardest not to start a review with these three letters that make the word…WOW! This is a first timer for me and I apologise profusely but on reflection, what other word could I have used for a follow up of such perfection? Our appetite was wetted after reading Hart’s debut, Deviant. It was just a matter of time, just a matter of sinking into a story of a plot perfectly construed to make an opinion about Fracture. The author’s development of her characters is beyond any of my expectations! You are literally sucked into a world of deception, incomprehensible passion and above all, her imaginative writing is not only sublimely related to them, but also ridiculously visible.

Sloan is between a hard rock and a place. Notwithstanding, this heroine in surgery scrubs has had a taste of what Zeth’s offered her and even though she doesn’t want to admit it out loud, she likes it. She’s more intelligent and more objective than him. That doesn’t mean that she’ll make mistakes though. Her objective is to protect Lacey come what may because it’s ingrained in her and she must also find the person most dear to her. His objective is to protect both of them regardless of the consequences. This horrendously attractive man who walks on the dark side is an expert in a world of deception, more sly and more of a SOB than she could have ever imagined. His purpose is to fulfil her wishes, and as he well knows how to dangle the carrot in front of her nose, his domineering ways will make her succumb. Her sub consciousness tells her that what she’s doing is wrong, but there’s no going back once this decision has been made. Therefore, a battle of wills is thrown into a plot of utmost intrigue and if I hadn’t thrown my Kindle against the wall at this point, it was purely because I wanted to keep on reading!

As you might have noticed, I haven’t mentioned the hotter than hot scenes! Well, why you may ask? Because I want you lovers of dark, sexy reads to enjoy this explicitly.

The second novel in this series has left me on tenterhooks! Argh! I can’t wait for the outcome of a plot so flawlessly written. For any reader that likes kind of genre, read, read, read! BRAVO Ms. Hart! You have made my day and I am anxiously awaiting the end of this incredibly surreal sequel!

DEVIANT (Blood of Roses #1) by Callie Hart

FIVE STARS Reviewed by Sharon Thérèse Nuttall for Kindle Friends Forever

The temptingly hot cover caught our attention. But even more so was the blurb! Why it has taken so long for KFF to review this book is honestly because we’ve been waiting for the third book in this trilogy due to be released on the 12th May. This page turner was far from disappointing and if you like erotic reads full of suspense, you won’t regret reading Sloane and Zeth’s incredibly salacious saga!

There couldn’t be two protagonists with more conflicting personalities.

Sloan’s personal and professional life is seemly under control except for one thing. Someone very dear to her has been missing for too long and she’s prepared to pay whatever price to find out about this person’s whereabouts. And believe you me; what a price she has to pay!

Even though this horrendously gorgeous Alfa male is a survivor in a world so diverse from hers, their destinies clash together in an explicitly described rendezvous of such intense that it left my tongue hanging out! Obviously it doesn’t stop here! Supposedly, all is forgotten after a few years, but here enters the one person that I literally fell in love with thanks to the author’s ability to describe every small detail regarding each one of her dissimilar characters. My heart went out to Lacey. Oh, Lacey! Zeth’s protectiveness is commendable and made me connect with him more. Up to this point in the story, Sloane’s concern is profsessional; however, you will only be able to appreciate these two wonderful gals relationship if you carry on reading the follow up, Fracture.

Deviant is faultlessly written. What an abso-frigging-lutely marvellous début. To say that this first part of your saga is brilliant would be an understatement Ms Hart. Simply BRAVO!
